Chapter 1

I walk into the lunchroom I am annoyingly familiar with. I walked past all the tables until I arrived at the farthest one in the corner. I sit down in front of the only person I know, Aisa. Me and him are the two longest members. We have been here for almost a week. He looks at me and softly pushes his tray to me. I look at it then back at him. "I'm fine." I say and push the tray back in front of him. "You need to eat something Clarke." He says holding an apple out to me. I look at it for a minute then smile at him. I take the apple and bite into it. "Happy?" I ask with a full mouth. He gives me a small smile then goes back to eating.

Minho's POV

I watch a girl walk in. She walks over and sits next to Aisa, the kid I was told had been here the longest and was in a maze with only girls. "Was she in his maze?" I ask. The guy looks at me then back at the girl and a look of pity cane across his face. "No.." He says and turns around looking down at his food. "Then what?" Thomas asks. The guy looks up at us and sighs, "She was in a different maze, she was in an all guy maze. She was in there pretty early on too..Her and sixteen other guys.." He says and his tone didn't sound pleased. Me, Thomas, and Newt exchange looks, "Wait, was she..." Thomas whispers but before he could finish the guy cut in with a quick and simple yes. I sigh and look in her direction, she looks up at me for a small second and I flash a small smile and a little wave. She scuffs and looks back at Aisa.

Clarke's POV

It was the next day. I was in the lunch room pretty early. Aisa was gone last night, I heard him sneak out through the vents. When he came back I went back to sleep but not a minute before. He is so stupid and reckless some times. He walks into the room and I put my attention on him immediately. He knew what I was gonna say. He sat down in front of me and took a deep breath. I moved forward, more over the table so I could whisper, "What the hell is wrong with you? Where did you go last night?" I ask in a faint whisper. He sighs and puts his arms on the table, making it easier for him to lean over the table. "I went to see Thomas, we think we found something.." he says. I give him a weird look, "Thomas? Wait, did you go back to the secret doors? Damnit Aisa! What if someone would have seen you?" I say all in one breath. "Calm down, yes we went there but we didn't get past the normal spot." He says.
Before I could say anything more the doors open and they guys from yesterday come in and sit at the same table as yesterday. I look at Aisa then slightly point over at one of the guys, "Is that Thomas?" I ask. He looks over and shakes his head, "No, Thomas is the one next to him." He says. I lower my finger and nod in understanding. Then Janson entires the room, he calls off some names and me and Aisa go back to talking. I look over and see Thomas trying to leave as well with the others. "Where the hell does he think he is going?" I question looking at Aisa then at Thomas again. I can hear some slight mumbling but I can't quite make it out. Then it's like Thomas snapped, he charged at the guards and tried to push past. Thomas's friends run to his side and pull him back. Janson comes out and starts to yell, "What the hell is going on here?" He questions, everyone goes silent.
After all of that everyone is sent to there dorms. Aisa tried to sneak out but I catch him. "Where are you going?" I ask crossing my arms. He sighs, "Me and Thomas are going to find out what is behind the door." He says. I couldn't help but laugh, "No way!" I say in a sister type tone. "Just cover me! I'll be back in no time..I promise." He says already half way in the vent. "Wait Aisa...Fine!" I say and put the vent back together. I lay up the blankets on the top bunk to look like someone was sleeping up there and I lay on the bottom bunk. The one on top of the vent so I would know when he comes back.
After about an hour wait the vent door is busted open. "Jesus!" I say jumping off the bed. "Aisa! What the hell!" I somewhat yell at him. He looked frozen in fear. "We have to go!" He says in a frantic tone. "Aisa Wait..Slow does what's wrong? What did you see?" I question. He didn't answer he just kept grabbing at my arm and tugging at me. "Come on now! We have to go! It's not safe here!" He says bending down and pulling me down to the vent. "Okay, okay I'm coming slow down." I say and we both slowly crawl through the vents. He jumps down on hole in a rush and starts to walk. Before I jump down I hear a guard, "Hey you! Kid! You can't be or here! This is a restricted area!" He yelled at Aisa. The guard pointed his gun at Aisa but before he could move I jumped on his shoulder and slung him back. We both fell to the floor but I rolled over and grabbed his gun, standing over the guard. I shoot the gun and the guard began to shake in pain at the electrical current. I smiled and me and Aisa continued to run.
After a few minutes we arrived at a door. I looked inside and there was Thomas and his friends. Thomas was pointing the gun at the other guys and Thomas's friends where trying to open the door. Aisa has the other key and opened the door. Everyone on the other side froze then they all looked at us. "Don't just stand there!! Run!" I yell holding He gun and aiming it at the same people at Thomas. Everyone ran in my direction and me and Thomas opened fire. Then the door started to close. I stopped shooting as Thomas ran my way. He slid under the door last minute and we all ran. We arrived at the main entry doors and when they opened we took off running.
