he wore a coat for the first time this morning.

the leaves had changed hues, and they all started falling one by one.
he fell as well.

i ran up to him and asked him if he was alright, but all he answered was a gasp.
we stared at eachother for a moment, it felt like an eternity.

– i think my ankle's twisted.

that snapped me out of it.

i supported some of his weight as he hopped to the building where the bell would most likely abandon us as we walk in.
class started without us.
we had to wait in the secretary's office before being able to see the nurse.

as she arrived to bring him to the infirmary, she asked me a question i had no answer to.
– why are you with him?

taeil had a response, though.
– support, he retorted with an unequivocal voice.

the nurse simply sighed.
– you should really get to class, kyunghee.

i looked at him and he smiled.
– kyunghee, he whispered distantly.

i got up and dragged myself to my biology lesson, all the students staring at me when i sat down.
being late: not good.

– detention, then? i'll see you there this afternoon, miss seon.
