it got chilly as the leaves started to turn into warm colours, contrasting with the weather.
you felt the obligation to at least sport a sweater.

not him.
moon taeil followed no rule.

he walked past me as usual, wearing his uniform only, and walking to the rythm of a new song each day.
i never could find a genre to what he listened to. it was a melody so sweet and haunting, yet different everytime i heard it. i couldn't make any lyrics out of the muffled sound, but i could make out a feeling. nostalgic, serene, yet eternally joyful.

the weather remained frigid, though.
i couldn't help but raise my voice.

– don't you think you'll catch a cold like that?

as he heard me, he turned around to find my gaze.
all he answered was something short.
– maybe.

with a smile on his face, he turned around and started walking to school once more.
a smile so nostalgic, serene, yet eternally joyful.
