We all know Unity is no normal cat. It's obvious Unity is more then what she appears. People have made theories saying Unity is a guardian angel or Ethan's spirit animal. Those theories are in fact incorrect. Let's take a step back and learn about Unity's story.
The story before Ethan
After a few years Ethan was born his Grandma Rosa died. His grandma loved him more then his actual mother. She was there for him throughout his childhood until he was 8 years of age. Rosa loved cats. Ethan loved one of his grandmas cats a lot. It was a little black kitty with beautiful yellow eyes that little kitty was Unity. She told Ethan the story about how this kitty brought her good fortune and guided her when she was lost. Every time she pet that kitten she felt presents of her mother who'd passed away when Ethan was only a year old. After a day she passed away She found a little kitty Unity in a box on her door step. It had no note it had no name. Could Unity be a reincarnation of Ethan's great grandmother? Or is it all a coincidence?
