****Nate's POV****

People build up walls, not to keep others out, but to see who cares enough to break them down

"Fuck."

Lately I used that word a lot. I'm sure Ali's the one meant to break my walls.

Every day I thought of her somehow. Just like Romeo and Juliet I felt like we knew each other. She could be mine and I hers. We could fit together, I know it. I feel it.

If only she wasn't so far away from my grasp.

Stella's been extra clingy and today after lunch I plan on going to break up with her and then leave for Washington  tomorrow. Ali. I hadn't seen her and my past was starting to haunt me. Stupid I was so stupid, no phone number, no contact. I was unhappy and Ali, maybe the only person who could fix me, left. Even home wasn't going to fix this, but it was a start.

"Just make it through lunch." I told myself taking a breath before entering the café with Stella...

We sat down and Stella shooed away the girl who was our waiter. She always did this with the girls, asked for a new waiter and when that didn't work she complained winning us a new waiter...

I was fed up with this, looking back how did I do this? Stella was mean, bossy, clingy...

Maybe I did this to her.

Okay I may be a douche I mean I did let this go on for a long time...

I don't remember her being this way...

Fuck. I'm a douche. Asshat? Man whore? Motherfucker? Asshole. Pussy. That sounds right. Lets just call me all the bad words in the book.

I was thinking of all of this for a while now and I didn't hear anything for a while until I heard the high pitch squeal of someone's voice...

"Ow!"

Wait...

Fuck.

I know that voice...

Quiet, yet high pitch...

My knees were shaking.

Ali.

Ali... Here? What the fuck?

I turned and quickly saw her a table over... She grew her hair out. God it looked perfect.

She waved her hands around at the person in front of her and gave me a glimpse of a tattoo

A tattoo.

That just made her 100 times cuter.

She was wearing a dress that fit her perfectly and hung in the right places. Even from behind I knew she looked gorgeous. The dress was blue and had white flowers on it, you could tell she wasn't wearing glasses because the ends of them didn't peek from her hair like they normally did.

"Woah" I whispered

"What's that sweetie?" Stella looked up grabbing my attention back.

"Um. Nothing its just... This place is expensive." I hadn't even checked the menu for more than a minute or two...

"Duh dummy, your looking in the wrong places, look here." She pointed towards some section of $15 and under food prices...

"Uh. Thanks..."

After Stella returned to looking at the menu I looked up and stared some more. Ali was done using her arms and her friend looked sad and then suddenly, Ali turned and we made eye contact.
