Heading into work the following I keep conversation with Jack to a minimum and when he asks me to do anything,I do it and I walk right back out of his office.Childish of me?ugh I know it is.
But what else can I do.......maybe if Jack found out he probably won't be as mad if I tell of them truth........but then again what if he doesn't believe.
The buzzing of the intercom brings me out of my thoughts.
"Marie,could you please come in here for a sec?" He ask
I walk in and wait for him to talk
"There is a charity event that my law firm holds every year,and all of my employees have to be there so if you have any plans for next Thursday,you need to cancel them,now" he says well he basically said I didn't even have a choice
"No sir,I don't have anything planned for the day" I say back as politely as I could
"Ok,good,oh and one more thing......I am having well my family is having this big family and it was a day or so ago but some of my family are not leaving until he have a family dinner with me there and I want you to come with me" did he just demand me to go to his family dinner
"No offense sir,but they are your family so why do I have to go"
"Because I said and I don't want to be alone with my so called family"
"So let me get this straight,you want me to go with you to your family dinner because you don't want to be alone" is he fucking crazy
"Precisely"
"No I'm not going" I say back stubbornly
"Excuse me,but you are" he says back with just as more force
"No!"
"Yes!and that's final,I don't like repeating myself Mrs.Jackson"
"Yes sir"
"And the dinner is tomorrow"
With that he dismissive me from his office with out another word.Bastard!
How can you possibly force someone to go somewhere with you and than you threaten them like you're their father.Ughh I cannot wait until I have enough money and I leave this job,because this man will make me choke him literally.
Now I have to find something to wear for that damn dinner,and I don't even have any casual clothes with me.....I could go shopping......but that will take too long.
But what other choice is there......shopping it is,yeah note the sarcasm.
