The sky was dark, indicating it was late in the evening. "Time must be getting on" Mark looked at the rather large and tall grandfather clock showing the time 6:30. He stood out from us desk chair. Him and Dr. McAvoy had an arrangement to meet down by the pub on the corner two minutes walk from Mr. Fischbach's house. He walked out from his office, papers and notes scattered over his desk making it untidy. He slipped in his grand coat and grabbed a black thick scarf, wrapping it around his neck before grabbing his top hat and placing it on top of his head of hair. He grabbed his cane and walked from his house and down the dark and dinged street. Horse carriages trotting down the cobblestone road with a dim tall night lamp on the side of the road barely lit things to see.

Mark waited outside if the pub for a good 5 minutes and no sign of his dear friend victor mcavoy. "Perhaps He is inside, he does like a good drink" Mark mumbled to himself and pushes the wooden pub door open, stepping inside and looked around to find his friend sat at a table for two with a shot of whiskey in his hand."ah. Here I find your drunken ass" mark sat at the opposite chair and crossed one leg over the other. "I thought you told me to wait outside of the pub. Not inside" Mark looked at victor who took the swing of whiskey down his throat and coughed after swallowing from the strong sensation from the alcohol. "I wanted a drink" victor said dimly. Victor was a very enthusiastic man, very bubbly and loud. It was not like for him to be quiet. Even when drunk he was not quiet. " is everything alright?" Maria asked in a concerned tone towards his friend. Victor didn't look up from the bottle of whiskey,  taking the bottle and pouring him and mark a small glass, only pouring a small amount in before setting the bottle back down. He picked up his small glass and drank the contents of the whiskey Inside. Mark watched him before taking the alcohol and drinking the contents, he wasn't one for alcohol. Mark hissed at the burning strong sensation of whiskey. "Not for me any time soon" He looked back at victor, " so. Tell me what's bothering you" victor played with his glass  still refusing to meet eye contact with mark. He breathed in deeply and exhales slowly and shakily." I respect your line of interest with the case Mark. I do. And I appreciate you accounting me in on the case. But.." he paused . Mark locked back up his unfinished sentence "but..?" He prodded, wanting victor to finish the sentence. His friend sighed and looked mark in the eyes," I don't think we should investigate any further" he said strongly. This was anything but victor. He had never not finished a car or stepped away from one, this is exactly his kind of case so he was He Wanting to leave the case?. Mark looked slightly shocked, "why?" Was all he could say. "It's too dangerous, we don't know what this thing is fully, we don't know what it's capable of, what it's intentions are, what it wants, we know nothing.and quite frankly...it scares me." Mark was taken back. Never in all of their years of friendship had he ever heard victor say that he was scared. "Victor, this is so unlike you" Mark spoke softly. Victor stood up "may we go back to your place. I have more to explain. But not here.."victor said quietly but loud enough for only Mark to hear.he shook his head "of course" Mark stood up and walked out of the pub with his friend. He stepped out and so did victor, the both of them walking down he street silently.

Mark shut the door behind victor as they entered marks office. Victor stood there and took his coast off and mark took it, placing his coat on the coat peg and did the same with his own. Victor held a notebook in his hand, he handed it to mark. It was thick and used a lot. "What is this?" Mark looked at the book then up at victor, " my notes, research on wha this monster would be." He said quietly. "Monster?.." the word tools mark back slightly and sent shivers down his spine. "There's no way for me to know unless the beast is killed for me to examine. But I can't. All we have is the Caracas of the cow and the. Teeth prints"
"Well, what have you deduced from the teethmarks" Mark asked as he walked over to his office desk and he sat down on his chair, victor stood behind the chair and rested his hands on each sides of the chair, marks head i between his arms. "Unholy science" victor said lowly in marks ear. Mark looked behind him and up at his friend then back down at the book. "What do you mean?" Victor stepped away from the chair and grabbed the spare wooden chair next to the desk and set it beside marks chair and sat down." I think someone gathered different parts from different animals and operated on them to put each part of each animal into one. Playing God" mr mcavoy spoke. Mark just sat there bewildered at what he was hearing. "That's inpossible" He grabbed two glasses from the small table next to the desk and a large bottle of strong whiskey and poured about 2 inches of whiskey into each glass and handed one to his friend. Without making a toast they both downed the drink and set it on the desk. Both of them cringing at the taste "I know I said not any time soon but this is for emergencies" Mark chuckled. "Oh? And what emergency would this time be?" Victor raised an eyebrow " i hope not to bend me over this desk tonight " they both sat there in silence for a few moments before both full heartedly busted out laughing. Victor had quiet a strange sense of humour but that's what made him marks best friend.
