she told me to shut the door. i looked at her and said, "it was never open."

Kat

Her blue eyes wandered restlessly around the room the discussion obviously not of any interest to her as she was just waiting for that bell to ring.

The meeting of which she did her best earlier not to be late to, was all about a special writing program, in which only young talented and more-so creative writers can qualify for—Kat being one of them. Everyone else ranged from the ages of 16 (such as herself) or even young 12 year olds but with the talent and mindset par with hers. Age obviously didn't matter when they showed enough potential in the English world of writing.

"Pssst!" A little scrap of balled up paper hit her head breaking her train of thought and she turned, only to see her blond-haired friend Chloe waving at her rather frantically.

"Are you even paying attention?" She hissed at Kat, her light green orbs narrowed at Kat who sweat-dropped.

"Oh, yeah definitely," Kat laughed nervously.

"Really?" A sarcastic voice mused on Kat's left, belonging to none other than Kat's other annoying companion: Chase. His green orbs which matched that of Chloe, but were darker in comparison, holding many untold stories of mischief unlike Chloe's bright innocent ones. Those same mischievous eyes twinkled at Kat as he smirked at her knowing all too well what she was like. "So, what were we just talking about?"

Traitor! Kat thought, glaring at him before sighing.

"Alright, alright you guys got me."

"Pay attention more, Kat!" Chloe chastised, rolling her eyes at her friends lack of attention span. "Anywaysss," She continued after making sure Kat was indeed listening this time, "The instructor told us to try to describe what exactly causes us to write."

"And in your case you little nerd, it would be reading Kakashi lemons," Chase teased, poking Kat's cheek chuckling when it reddened at his statement.

"That was a one time thing you moron!" Kat growls, slapping him upside the head.

"Tell that to your history," He replies, ducking before she could wack him again.

Chloe sighed at the childish bunch. "Just have kids already."

"CHLOEEEE!"

"That's if her dream sensei doesn't beat me to it."

Smack.

Kat wasted no time in leaving the class when the bell rang, knowing sleep was just calling to her. She adjusted the bag over her shoulder, heading towards the direction to her house. Now that she wasn't rushing anywhere, she can walk at her own pace and that's exactly what she intended to do.

Taking the time to take in the town's scenery around her, she allowed herself to relax a little. Even if mostly everyone held some sort of hatred towards her, that didn't mean the town itself wasn't beautiful. Bright lights adorned the buildings around her everywhere, multiple colorful signs hanging a bit below them, just beckoning at you to enter and look at the items they were trying to sell. The people themselves, (when they weren't around her to throw their hate-filled expressions) held happy auras around them with whatever they were doing. Children hung around the near the edge of the streets playing with each other and easily dodging the bustle of people walking back and forth.
