A love between adventurers (Webby x Dewey One-Shots)

'Not going away'

A/N: Sorry for not updating last week I was going to make a Christmas or New Years themed one-shot but my ideas were kind of half baked... Speaking of which I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and I wish you all a Happy New Year! (This one-shot was inspired by this song)

Dewey Duck considered himself to be very brave, and somewhat impulsive. He was practically known for always saying what's on his mind or how he feels, so he couldn't figure out why he couldn't express his feelings for Webby. In all honesty Dewey wasn't even sure when these feelings started. He has always been close to Webby, but he thought of it as a brother-sister type of bond. Though it he soon found that it was more than that.

Of course he had tried countless times to tell Webby about his emotions, but he couldn't seem to find the words. There was so much to say he didn't even know where to begin, it seemed that he was never able to organize his thoughts. He also had constant thoughts of his love for her being unrequited, which did nothing to calm his nerves.

With all the issues of not being able to confess to Webby he decided he might as well not even bother. Yes he knew that keeping his feelings hidden might not be a smart idea in the long run, but he felt that at the moment it was the best option. Though this course of action didn't stop his heart from fluttering every time he saw her, his face from flushing every time she was near or even from tripping over his words when speaking with her, he was honestly surprised she hadn't figured it out at this point.

He believed, or tried to believe atleast, that if he just push his feelings down and ignored them then this 'crush' would go away, but deep down he knew he was lying to himself and that he wanted to embrace theses feelings. It was quite obvious, no matter how much Dewey tried to deny it, that this 'crush' wasn't going away.
