Chapter 5

The next morning,I woke up at 6 am.It's Saturday!Means no work for us.

Jieun was still sound asleep.I got out of her bed since I wasn't feeling sleepy anymore and went to mine.Usually on weekend mornings,I jog around the neighborhood and that's what I'm gonna do now.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face first,I'll shower when I get back.Changing my pajamas into sports tank top and shorts,I tied my hair into a ponytail to keep my long hair together.Eventhough it's starting to get chilly outside,jogging would heat me up.

I had a banana before going out to fill my empty stomach a little.It's not good to exercise with an empty tummy,you know?

I stepped out of the house and immediately the cold air hugged my body.It wasn't that cold but atleast it's not hot.I glanced at Minhyun's,seeing no sign of him.To be honest,I got a little upset because he's usually there every morning.Maybe he's sleeping too.

I stretched up a bit then started to jog.I don't always listen to music because I absolutely enjoy the nature sounds and the sound of the neighborhood when everyone's still asleep.

After a while,I remembered about last night.

//flashback//

"Are you serious?Oh my god Jiyoon!You're so lucky!"Jieun squealed and hit me with a pillow continuously.

"Lucky?Why would you say that?I think I'm the complete opposite!" I sighed,covering my face with the sheets.

"That's because you don't see the bright side.Jiyoon,you have absolutely everything that a guy wants in a girl.And you're single.Minhyun's just like you.Not to mention,you even have a huge crush on him.I bet he does too."Jieun said.

"No he doesn't.How do you know?None of us has ever even talked to him." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Everyday,you tell me that he smiles at you.I hardly see him in the mornings because he's out early,like you.Come to think about it,why does he gets out of the house the same time as you do?Every single day?Even when you change your work routine?Okay,that sounds kinda creepy but I think he just wants to see you,Jiyoon." She exclaimed and tilted her head to get a better look at my face.

"What are you talking about?No way...I think it's just a coincidence,Jieun." I mumbled and pulled her hands off my shoulders.

"If you don't believe me,fine then.I'm just tellin' you.But if we could switch lives,I'd love to take yours."She said and looked up dreamily.

Hmm...maybe she's right.Rather than dating some guy and having my heart broken,being arranged to a perfect guy is better.

I hope Jieun's right...and I hope I'm right too.

//end of flashback//

I'm actually starting to embrace the fact that I'm being arranged to Minhyun now.

Is it because I'm not taking it too seriously?I don't think so.Is it the power of love?Wait,I don't love him.Not yet.I think I'm going crazy.

Being too absorbed into my thoughts,my foot got caught in a small hole in the ground that I didn't see and sent me falling face first.If someone recorded this,they could've made a great shooting star vine.

"Ouchies...what the heck.." I groaned and sat up slowly,my face feeling numb.I'm glad it wasn't tar.That would've left me a scar.(it rhymes :D)

Thankfully nothing happened to my face,no cuts,no scratches.Then when I tried to get up,a crushing pain seared through me leg.Oh no.I sprained my ankle.Badly.

"Ugh,right here,right now?Can't my days get any better?"I grumbled.

I looked around,trying to find someone to help me but there's nobody around.It was still too early.

I'll just call Jieun.When I slipped my hand in my pocket,I found nothing.Oh right,I didn't even bring my phone with me!

Guess I'll have to wait for someone to pass by.

For a few minutes,I was stabbing the hole that made me fall with a stick I found nearby.When the stick broke,I threw it away and stared into the distance.The sun was already rising.

"Is there any knight in shining armor around here?If there is,save this damsel in distress!" I half yelled because I didn't really want anyone to hear me.I've been here for almost half an hour.And just then,a miracle happened.

"Is there anyone here?"

I looked around again and saw a figure standing pretty far from me.It was a male's voice but I couldn't see who it was since he was turning the other way.

"Yes,over here!" I yelled again.

When he turned around,I immediately regretted it.

It was Minhyun.
