Forgotten Memories 3

*Flashback*

JHope POV

“I wouldn’t live long.” This one sentence spooked me up. Such a young boy could actually say that. He saw that my curiosity was up and decided to continue his story.

“I have a heart problem that only a heart transplant could save me. I once followed the proper diet and activity restriction that said could prolong my life around 20 years old. Along the line, the attack came back and I was put in Intensive Care Unit for close monitoring. While resting, I reflected back my whole life. I never did anything fun in my life” He continued and again seeing I’m interested in his story, he decided to continue again.

“I never knew how or even what fun was until I met Kim Tae Hyung.” As he pointed one of the kid that have rectangle smile on his face.

“Meeting TaeHyung was the best things that ever happen in my life. Mom didn’t like him so much as he would always bring me on a dangerous adventure. I never care much what others think anymore after the attack and keep enjoying myself and live life to the fullest. The consequences of chasing the joy of life, my life span getting shorter.” Now his expression looked anxious.

“The things that TaeHyung is my first friend I ever had and the closest of the all friends that I manage to make. He didn’t know I have this disease and I didn’t plan on telling him as he is just too pure. Even when his pet died, he brawled out the entire week because of it. How am I going to tell him about me going to the other side?” I could see tears started to swell up in his eyes. I patted his back as I understand his feeling toward his friend.

“I’m so sorry hyung for the sudden disclose. You must be tired of listening to my babbling. It just builds up in me having to keep away my secret from my best friend. I just don’t know what to do.” He continued with tears started to drop off. This time I hugged him to comfort him. Even I didn’t have the answer to his problem. I never knew a child as young as him already getting ready to meet his end.

“Hyung, can I request something from you?” as he pulled himself from me.

“In the future, if you ever meet TaeHyung which I’ll pray hard you will, can you be his friend? Treat him as a precious dongsaeng like how you treat me.” TaeYang said with his puppy eye.

“I don’t know TaeYang-a. The world so big, we might not even meet in this life” I replied back trying not to promise anything I can’t keep.

“Please hyung. The world so small, trusts me. Even we meet by chances. Jebal hyung.” His puppy eyes never leave me.

“I usually don’t want to promise something I can’t keep. But I do look out for TaeHyung if we ever met in the future.” I tried to ensure him as I don’t even know what hold for me in the future.

“Thanks hyung. You should be called Hwimang or Hope in the future. You give people hope in life. Thanks for everything hyung.” He bowed and ran back to a group of kids that were playing happily at the playground.
