Emma's POV

The next morning I run over to Jack's house. I still feel uneasy about last night and I want some comfort from my sweet boyfriend. When I knock on the door, no one answers at first. I find the spare key left under the doormat. Once I'm inside, I find Jack on the couch crying. I rush over to his side.

"Baby, what's wrong?"

When he turns to me, betrayal floods through his eyes. He cries out, "How dare you be cheating on me this whole time? Does our relationship mean nothing to you?"

Confused I stare back at him, "What are you talking about?"

"What do you mean 'what are you talking about'? You've been cheating on me these past few months with Logan Lockwood!"

I explain everything to him what happened last night from my irrational dad to the unwanted kiss. Thankfully, Jack is understanding. He turns on the TV to show me the news clip. From what I saw on screen, Jack is right to assume the worst. It shows me kissing Logan and it appears that my reason for running away is that the presence of the paparazzi. After my rapid departure, the paparazzi interview a smug Logan. You can't even tell how drunk he was. I guess he has years of practice masking insobriety.

Questions are fired at Logan full speed as he rushes to answer them. Who was that girl? Why were you kissing her? Is Logan Lockwood finally settling down with a girl? All to which he oh so charmingly answered, "Please, calm down. I will tell you everything. Just stop yelling at me." With that, they became silent. You could hear a pin drop on the street.

"That girl over there," he points in my direction as I flee down the street, "Is my girlfriend. We started dating in secret almost nine months ago." He smiles to mask his slurred words. I think the Bourbon was finally catching up to him.

"Isn't she beautiful?" he preens. The press then begins buzzing with life again as they hurl question after question to Logan.

"Everyone is wondering what this means for you and Amanda. We know about your relationship and we know there was the talk of marriage on the table. Care to elaborate on that?" A reporter anxiously asks while sticking a microphone in Logan's face.

"Well, to be quite honest, there was nothing nor will there ever be anything between Amanda and I. That was simply a cover to hide my relationship with..." he hesitates, not knowing my name, "my dear girlfriend." When the paparazzi appear confused, he explains further, "You see, she is from a poor family and I, as you all know, stem from the rich and powerful. My Cinderella and I decided it was best to keep our love a secret. Hence, we both had to keep up the facade of our normal lives, not knowing each other in public. In private, however, that's well, rather secretive if you know what I mean." He finishes with a wink.

Oh boy, how I want to kill him right now. How dare he lie to the public to save his own supposed "irresistible" image.

"May we ask, what is the name of your Cinderella, Mr. Lockwood?" another reporter shoves a microphone in his face.

"That's classified at the moment. I need to go over that with her and see if she's ready to be in the public eye yet."

Now fully satisfied with his deviant lies, Logan ends the interview, claiming he has to return to his father's party or something. I wasn't really paying attention. Steam fumed out of my ears. Anger was an understatement of what I was feeling.

I turn to Jack, my anger obvious in my eyes. "How dare he do this to me! I'm so sorry Jack. I promise I didn't willingly cheat on you." My anger turned into sadness. Tears threatened to spill. I don't know what I would do if Jack doesn't forgive me. I love him.

"Shh, it's okay, baby girl. Don't worry. I love you too." He caresses me in his arms and whispers sweet nothings as he lulls me to sleep in his sweet arms.
