Emma's POV

By the time we arrive at the high-end boutique I have stopped crying and managed to pull myself together. Although my nose always gets really red when I cry or when I'm cold so I probably still look like Rudolf the rednosed reindeer.

Before we step inside, Dante places a hand on the small of my back and whispers, "You okay?" I nod, thankful that he asked. It's refreshing to be in the presence of a gentleman.

Dante leads me into the shop and immediately the woman at the counter rushes to us.

"Hi! So you're Logan's soon-to-be-bride, right?" I nod slowly, slightly overwhelmed. "My name is Nicolette and I will be styling you for tonight, okay?"

Does this woman end every sentence with a question?

When I nod in response, she whisks me away from Dante, who takes a seat on a couch in what I assume is a waiting room. We go into one of the back rooms where there is a curtain I assume for me to change behind and a large vanity with drawers of makeup.

She first sits me down and starts working on my hair and makeup. I don't even know what half of the tools she uses are called. The only ones I recognize are mascara, eyeshadow, and blush. What the heck is eyeliner? Like is this woman putting lines on my eyes? I am confused, to say the least. But I just let her do her thing and after she finishes she moves onto my hair.

This whole hair and makeup process takes about an hour and a half total and I am extremely bored by the end. When she finishes curling the last strand of my long brown locks, another woman I assume who works there brings in a rack of dresses.

"Thanks, Rochelle," she waves, before fluffing my hair with her fingers. She turns my chair around so I can look at myself in the mirror.

Staring back at my reflection is not someone I recognize. Her hair is done up in a half-up-half-down style with bouncy ringlets cascading down my back. My makeup is done to perfection, highlighting my cheekbones and my rosy cheeks. With the amount of stuff she was smearing on my face I thought I'd look like a clown by the time she was done, but I was really wrong. It looks natural and my skin is absolutely glowing.

While this is something I don't want to get used to, I don't mind it for a night. I mean, you have to treat yo self sometimes.

Nicolette then has me try on five or six dresses before finally deciding on the first one I tried on. But I've got to admit, all the dresses were absolutely stunning and the one she chose really accentuates my curves and fits my body like a glove.

The dress is shaped with a high neck and it has a slit between my boobs to show off the twins. Starting from my waist where it cinches in, the dress tightens showing off my bum. The burgundy color with the silver and gold detailing at the top only make the dress more appealing.

I never feel very feminine in my daily attire, but in the moment I feel sexy and powerful. I never knew clothes could have that effect on me but I guess they can. I find myself becoming excited about what tonight will bring.
I just have to be optimistic. Things couldn't be that bad, could they?

Author's Note

How's everyone's day been?

I know this chapter was kind of short and kinda a filler chapter, I think it was important because it introduced Nicolette and it also showed Emma getting in touch with her more sexy side and having more confidence even if it was just induced by that dress.

Yes, I know this chapter was short but I'm posting it along with another chapter so you still get the same amount of content.

So how do you think the evening will play out? I want to know what you guys think will happen to see if any of you are psychic.

What do you think of Dante?

What about Logan?

See you all in the next chapter!

Love, Queen Libby
