iDad
***
My daddy's an iDad,
He plays on his iPad:
***
His fingers slide on the touch-screen,
Lots of websites are to be seen:
***
He checks all his emails
And reads all the details,
***
He likes chatting on Skype
With family, friends, that type.
***
Oh, and he has an iPhone
And the newest, coolest headphones.
***
His iPod is now mine:
For him it's old, for me: fine!
***
He's so many icons on his desktop
That they flood his whole laptop!
***
His laptop is all-new
So the old one's now guess who's!
***
His favourite logo is Apple
Sometging he also likes to sample...
***
His idol is Steve Jobs,
For whom so many shed teardrops.
***
There's Siri to command,
Who answers his every demand!
***
And today's daddy's name day,
So all I'd like to say:
***
Is I hope that you don't mind,
That from i-things all I could find:
***
Is dad I hope you know that iLove you,
For you're the best dad in the w.w.w.!
***
(As you probably already realized, this was written for my Daddy's name day. I stayed up all night thinking it out and got up a lot earlier than usual to write it down, then sent it to Daddy and spent the whole morning sitting in front of the computer and staring at my email. He cried over this. I smiled. So what if everything comes with a sacrifice? It's most certainly worth it.)
