Chapter 3

The next day, they announces who would be the cast of the play. Only the junior will be part of the play the senior is busy. Freshmen, they don’t know because they are new comers. Sophomores, also busy they are getting ready at something...They didn’t explain the details leaving us to do all the work.

I know why the school faculty want this activity it is because students would do the work like decorating and directing. Still they can get an income on the day of play because they would invite people to come and watch the play.

“Lexyn got the role of Wendy. Adrianne is the lead, Peter.”

What?! When the teacher says that I was auditioning for the role of Wendy. I never thought that it would be the lead. I just thought that I was auditioning for an extra-cast. Good thing, I didn’t passed their expectations.

Wait, if I was auditioning for Wendy and gotten the role then I would be partner up to that bitter-sweet bad boy. Another advantage on me.

Wendy and Peter? Is that the story of Peter Pan? Ang baduy naman ng napili nila. Dapat naggawa na lang sila ng sarili nilang kwento kaysa may basehan pa.

Did I mention that we, juniors, are on the gymnasium? Yeah, we are here. No, actually only half only of the juniors are here because the teachers says that the others are not capable of doing anything. Our grades would be graded according to play delivery.

Of course, all of the class of Star Section are present in the gym. I believe that people on my class are bigger than the other classes. Maybe because our class have lesser bad boys plus we also got the cooperation well except for cleaning. Our class sucks at cleaning.

The teacher assigned each student of their part in the play and some are assistant and props men.

“Jade, I will assign you as assistant of Lexyn. You know exactly what assistant had to do. Here is a copy of a script and make sure to memorize it.” She handed me down a script and left.

I don’t know if being an assistant is that way or way around.

I walked towards Lexyn seating on the monoblock chair away from the crowd and also holding a script. I seated next to her and noticed me. She smiled again.

“Assistant mo nga pala ako sabi ni teacher although hindi ko alam kung ano ang ginagawa talaga ng assistant,” I said.

“Tutulungan mo akong magmemorize at bibigyan mo ako ng kailangan ko if ever. Wag kang mag-aalala hindi naman ako katulad ng nasa TV na inaalila ang assistant,” she responded.

That made me laugh. She was friendly to me as always.

It has been over a week when they assigned us to do a play. After class hours, Lexyn would practice a lot. I can see that she really wanted that part and totally deserves it. But some people really can’t shut up their mouth like Paula. Now, I’m hating her since I used to be friends with her.

Plus, Lexyn and Adrianne are not practicing together which is a bad idea. I know they have a complicated relationship after their big breakup thing but the whole junior’s grade are on the line. The director is also freaking out because of them. I cannot blame her to freak out well because they are just the lead. Ms. Benson totally don’t care about relationship thing that is why the show must go on she says. Now, I am starting to wonder if it is possible to skip the teenager level well because Ms. Benson seems so.

Okay, days actually many weeks passed by so quickly and it was only a week before the grand play. And guess what? The lead actor is missing. Just what the heck is that?
