Chapter 4
Yeah, I am all fired up this morning. It was the busiest morning for me until I came to have him practice long hour this morning. All I did was correct him and command him to focus. But he still have that time to stay calm and chill like the day after tomorrow is not Thursday.
Yup, the day after tomorrow is definitely Thursday. We are rehearsing all his lines in the old faculty room which is now vacant.
I seated next to Monica at the Canteen with Kate.
“Problemado ah,” Monica stated.
“Akala ko nakalimutan mo na kami. Wala ka nang ginawa kundi asikasuhin iyong play niyo,” Kate added.
“Play natin ito. At hindi ko kayo nakalimutan madami lang talaga akong inaasikaso. Nakaka-bw*sit nga eh,” I coldly told them.
Okay, I kind of scared them the way I said it. Hey, I can’t blame myself if that bad boy would keep going like that.
A guy suddenly appeared next to Kate. I kind of make an accident eye-to-eye contact to him. I looked away as fast as I can. I am still the old me who don’t socialize.
“Kate, sa isang araw, libre ka?” I heard that guy just asked Kate. Just who the heck is he? And still not looking back.
“Oo, bakit?” she asked.
“Yayayain kasi kita. Pwede ka ba?”
“Sige.” She responded. WHAT!!! This time I looked at her. What’s more I saw in my peripheral vision that he was looking at me. That gives me creep.
“Kate!” I shouted at her. She looked at me acting so innocent.
“Actually, pwede mo naman isama friends mo. Kayong tatlo, kung pwede lang.” he added and smiled creepily.
“Sige.” Mabilis na sagot ni Monica. What the heck is happening to both of them? Are they brainwashed or maybe cursed?
“Ano? Tumigil kayong dalawa. Ni hindi niyo pa nga kilala sasama na agad kayo sa date-date na iyan,” I stood up, making me noticed in the whole Canteen.
“Kaya nga may date para magkakilala,” sambit ni Kate. “At saka umupo ka. Para kang baliw diyan.”
It was Monica that pulled me down.
“Wala pa rin akong tiwala diyan sa mga iyan,” I said.
“Sige, kaming tatlo sa huwebes. Pagpasensyahan mo na lang siya, bye.” My eyes widen when Kate told him about us.
“Kate! Nababaliw ka na ba? Hindi mo ba nakita ang mukha niya? Mukha siyang adik na manyakis sa kalye at ma dalawa pa siyang kaibigan na siguro mas adik sa kanya.” I yelled. I hate the fact that I am sounding like a mother to them.
“Monica, oo lang agad-agad? Hindi ba kayo nanonood ng frozen? Ang lesson lang naman doon don’t trust strangers you just met. Ano ba?” I continue lecturing them.
“English ka pa diyan na nalalaman. Kaya tatlo tayo na magkasama. Get to know lang iyong date na iyon wag ka mag-alala sagot ka namin.” Kate said with full confidence.
They never listened to me.
The day of observation comes. It’s Thursday. I’ve been all night praying for that bad boy, Adrianne Villanueva, to please do whatever it takes to impress or just satisfy this terror teacher, Ms. Benson.
