Troye’s P.O.V.

Clear my head. Yeah right. More like go bang my head on the wall for being stupid enough to like Tyler. Tyler couldn’t even care less about me. Right? I wish he felt that way too. But, oh no, I had to hopelessly be in love with Tyler. But this didn’t really seem like Tyler. He didn’t usually hide stuff, especially from me. I was usually the one he called late at night to talk about stuff and cry his heart out. Tyler was definitely hiding something, and I needed to find out what.

---

"Good morning, Troye!”

“Morning, mum.”

“You boys had fun last night?” Dad said, with a smirk.

“I don’t even want to know what that question means.”

“We had fun!” Tyler walked into the room with a fake grin, “Didn’t we?”

Fun. Sure. After I had gone back into the house yesterday night, we'd ordered pizza and sat in front of the T.V. for an hour. I had then gone back to my room and had gone to bed surprisingly early.

“Oh, and I was wondering if it was alright to go see some friends today,” Tyler added.

“Course!” Mrs. Mellet said.

Tyler smiled at mum and chewed on his toast. And for some odd reason, I decided to be a little bitch and follow him.

---

“Can I borrow your car?” I asked Steele. Tyler had borrowed my car to go visit his friends and I needed to see where he was actually going.

“Where are you going?” Steele asked.I had already prepared answers to all these questions.

“Kayla’s place.”

“Oh, see ya.”

"Does that mean I can-”

“Yeah. ”

“Best big brother ever!” I said (okay, maybe squaked), as I ran out of the house and got into Steele’s car. Luckily, I saw Tyler in my car at the end of the road and drove after him.

There wasn’t much traffic on the road but luckily Tyler still hadn’t realized I was following him.

“Where are you going, Tilly?” I said, it had been an hour and a half since we had been driving round and I didn’t really know where we were. Finally, Tyler decided to slow down and get out of the car. I parked the car at the end of the road, too far for Tyler to notice, and saw where Tyler was going. We'd stopped outside this motel kind of place and it didn’t exactly look like an ideal place to hang out with your friends. I followed Tyler inside and saw him ask for something. Tyler took the keys the dude on the desk gave him and turned around. I jumped behind a pillar and sighed.

Shit, he almost saw me.

I leaned against the pillar and thought about whether it would be a good idea to just leave or not and decided that I had come this far, maybe I should just stay.

“Actually, no, I don’t like this place. I’ll just find another hotel.” Had I heard that right? I peeped from behind the pillar and saw Tyler talking to the lady at the desk. His back towards me.

“Not so easily, boy.” The lady said.

“Fine,” Tyler sighed and pulled out some cash and handed it to the lady. Wait, Tyler was carrying a small bag that he hadn’t had before. What was in it?

“I’m just a backpacker. Do you know any place where I can stay?” Tyler continued, trying to sound convincing. The lady shrugged and Tyler walked out. A few seconds later, I walked out from behind the pillar and the lady gave me a puzzed look.

“I’m with the guy that just left.” I said, running out. I was just in time to see where Tyler had turned and I ran to Steele’s car and followed. Why was Tilly carrying that bag and why had he lied about who he was? I suddenly felt glad that I had followed Tyler. Ty had definitely gotten himself into something bad and didn’t want me to find out.
