Chapter 2 The Call

*Nora's point of view*

We continue to eat and talk for a while longer about random banter. We start to slowly drift into more of a crucible talk and some of the cool or funny moments that we had.

"Ok get this a storm caller arc blade and a sun breaker all start to rush me, so what do I do? I start to panic a little and run, until I whip around a corner and pull my shadow shot out and tether all three taking their supers and their streaks." I say smiling and with a hint of being proud.

"Yeah yeah that might be cool but doesn't beat what I did!" Enzo proclaimed as he puts one of his fist on the table. "Ok it was rumble and me and this other Titan were tied for the lead. I hear him pop his hammers and so I look at the scores and see he is only 5 kills away now, so I start to get worried cause I had some glimmer riding on this match......about 20,000 glimmer. So I start to take people out with my Mida like you do, and my shotgun. I start getting kill after kill till I was four away now from victory and I see my perfect opportunity a whole hallway filled with guardians so what do I do I fist of havoc and just watch the shock wave travel along and demolish all of them. Let's just say I got a free 20,000." Enzo says with a large smirk on his face.
He looks at us and nods as he takes a drink, thinking that he has the best story ever but Parrish had other plans. He chuckled and pushed up his glasses a little and looked at us both, only saying a few words.

"Whole team one nova bomb," he says as he takes a drink and stands up. "Well thanks for the meal sorry I have to dine and dash but have some important royal duties to attend to," he says as he pats me on the back and walks off.

"Man out of all the people why him to lose someone they love so much," I ask as I shake my head.

"I don't know he doesn't deserve it he is such a good guy but unfortunately she wasn't a guardian," Enzo replies as he sits back and looks at me. I nod in response not saying anything as I tip the waiter after we pay, and leave the shop yelling goodbye.

We continue walking down the streets seeing red white and gold.

"Man everyone seems to be on New Monarchy's side," I say looking at the banners and some of the people wearing their emblem.

"They help the city more than those other two factions," Enzo replies as he takes my hand.

"Isn't that the truth....they took us in when we first got to the city fed us, resupplied us, and gave us a place to rest, in return to help and support them and their endeavors." I say as we walk past some people waving at us, as a child, about the age of 11, walked up to us wearing some new monarchy emblems, like on his hat.

"Oh my are you two guardians no don't tell me Enzo, the fearless titan who took on Crota and his lieutenants! And you must be Nora, the hunter that not only captured skolas but destroyed them in the prison! It's an honor to meet you two!" The boy said as his friends walked up behind him in awe.

"Yes we are and thank you for the compliment, but we couldn't have done those things without each other." I respond as Enzo looks at me as I look at him smiling then we both look at the kids.

"I should....well we should be thanking you for protecting us all of us and the new monarchy." He says as all the kids nod and agree.

"Oh can we see your ghosts," one of the kids ask.

"Sure you can," I say as I open my hand out and my ghost pops up (the taken ghost shell skin as well). "Meet theta my ghost," I say as they all oooh and aww.

"Greetings young ones," theta says as he looks at the children. Then I close my hand and he disappears after they all say hello.
Enzo follows my lead and shows them Echo (a New Monarchy skin). They all do the same thing as they did when they saw theta.

"Kids it's time to eat," a mother yells and the some of the kids start to walk to the house and some stayed, and asked us a few more questions.

"Was Oryx scary?" A little girl asked.

"I was a little scared when we faced him yes because he was so unpredictable with his attacks." Enzo says as he smiles and looks at the girl.
As they ask a few more questions a woman walks up to all of us.

"Jimmy it's time for cake and I don't mean to be rude but who are you?" She asks us, but before we can respond Jimmy chimes in.

"Mom this is Nora and Enzo the famous titan and hunter that faced Crota, Oryx, and Aksis, as well as champions of the new monarchy!" He says and turns to us.

"Oh well thank you so much for your service and protection it means a lot to us all of us," she says with a smile shaking our hands.

"No problem ma'am just doing our part us and our team." I respond smiling.

"Oh it's my birthday I'm turning 12," the kid says with a big grin on his face. "When I grow up I want to protect the city just like you."

"Happy birthday jimmy," we both say smiling. Enzo nods and gets eye level with him and pulls out a patch from his jacket pocket and hands it to him. The kid then looks at it and gasp smiling.
"That is my first emblem when I joined the titan ranks," he says as he stands up.

"Thank you so much I'll wear it proudly," he says as he looks at it while walking in with his mother.
Echo soon pops up and looks at us. "Zavala needs you two at the tower now!"

Without hesitation we start to run to the tower, making a quick stop at the armory to get our armor and weapons. We finally reach the tower and the vanguard headquarters and Zavala is standing at the the window then turns to see us standing behind him.

"Guardians I need you two to do a reconnaissance mission all of our satellites have gone dark and none of Cayde's scouts have reported back in," he says as he walks toward us.
We nod and run off to our ships and take off in a hurry almost destroying a little bit of the hanger. Zavala watches as we leave and shakes his head.

"God speed guardians," then looks around and whispers, "this is not good."
