I turn around with tears in my eyes.Who would have know I would be standing here in front of my boss who I love like a father getting ready to broad a plane that's gonna take me across the world.
And the worst part being i'm bawling my eyes out like a 3 year old who can't get their Barbie doll dream house for Christmas.
"Please don't cry, Jessie." He says coming over to hug me.I hug him back tightly not ever wanting to let go.
"Oh come on the famous Jessie who killed one of the biggest hit men in Miami can't be crying."He jokes.
I softly chuckle and wipe a tear from my red puffy eyes.
"I got lucky."I reply.He looks down at the ground.
"Jessie I'm sorry we can't keep in contact with you, because I know as long as I'm in your life you can never be normal."He says.I look down and keep silent.
"And if the red snakes found out we had contact they'd try to use you against us."He explains."I want you to forget about me and everyone at ABB to."He tells me.
I wanted to shout 'I'd kill them all then I could stay', but I knew that would only make us argue and I knew I was gonna lose in it.
"Last call for los Angeles, California!"I hear the lady over the speaker call.
"That's me." I say smiling sadly trying to hold back tears.I hug him one last time wishing I could make this moment last forever.
I pull back and turn away but not before saying my last goodbye.I had to repeat to myself 'don't look back whatever you do don't look back'....And I didn't.
I look for my seat on the huge plane.I find my seat to see no one was beside me.I was about to celebrate when a boy with short brown hair and headphones around his neck sat down next to me.He looked to be my age and really shy type guy judging by his hoody and quite vibes, but boy was I wrong about the shy part.
"Umm, Hi Im uhh.." I started But I was interrupted.
"I didn't ask for your name,fille stupide."He said.
Wow somebody is crabby.Wait...what did he just call me?!
"Umm what dose that mean?Most people would just stop talking but I was way to curious and I wanted to see where this conversation could go.And plus I'm not most people.
He rolled his eyes"What a dummy, it means Stupid girl!"He tells me as he puts his head phones on. He never told me what language it translated from so I tapped him on the the shoulder to ask.
"Firstly Im not stupid and secondly what language is that?"I ask him. He sighs and takes off his headphones."It's french."He tells me calmly.
"Oh cool."Was the only reply I thought of.I was about to ask how he knew french when the plane started moving.This was my first real time on a plane with no ABB or my brother.
My chest felt heavy like gravity was pushing on it.With out even realizing I had done it my hand began to grip the seat handle which, just so had to be where mystery guy's hand was laying.
He instantly tensed up when I touched his hand but I was to busy hyperventilating to notice.
"Ar-Are you ok?"He asked.I didn't respond though.He hesitated for a second before grabbing my hand and softly began to rub the back of it.
"Umm...there there it's...uhh...its ok."He said really awkwardly.I turn to him to see his face was bright red and his dark brown eyes were looking away from me.
"I'm guessing this is your first time ever being on a plane by yourself?"He asked.I didn't speak just nodded.Eventually the silence became awkward and I decided to speak to get my mind off how high we were in the air.
"So I'm guessing this is your first time comforting someone who been this high?"I ask him.He looks at me and smiles awkwardly as if he's saying he's never done this before,but his eyes said something different, something that says 'No I've done this many times.'
"Actually I've done this with some of my siblings but never a stranger."He tells me honestly.That's when I noticed that his hand was still on mine.My face turns red.I pray to god he doesn't notice.He sees my face and his face turns puzzled.The only thing I could think is to cover it up with a joke.
"Hey,this stranger has a name ya know!"I say awkwardly joking.He turned twords me with an amused smirk on his face.
"And what may be this strangers name?"He asks me.I smile at him.
"Well this stranger will only say her name if the 'mystery boy' tells her his name first."I say nudging his arm a bit.
"Well this mystery boy,"He adds quotation marks around mystery boy."doesn't want to go first."He adds with a small smile.I laugh at how silly and weird we sound.Thats when I realized that I had forgotten I was in the air.I glance down at our hands touching and smile.
"It's Sam." He says after a while. I look at him and softly smile.He gives a small smile that makes him seem less dark and mysterious.
"Mine is..." I freeze.Should I tell him who I really am? After all dad told me to forget about everything that had 2 do with the ABB.Did he mean my identity to?
"You ok?" He asks.I shake my thought off." Yeah I'm fine my name is Maddie."I feel bad for lying but I need to keep my real identity secret for now.
The whole rest of the flight we talked and laughed.We were laughing so loud we almost got kicked out of the plane.I'm sure if the piolet could he'd kick us out of the plane while we were in the air.
By the time we landed I don't think I slept a single bit.Sam was really funny and seemed like a great guy.I was sad when we landed I didn't want to see him go but he gave me his number and said maybe we could meet up sometime.We both exited the plane and went our separate ways.I just hoped our paths would one day collide again.
