"Well, you look stunning." Carmella said, as she looked me up and down. "Like, really stunning."

I smiled, a much forced smile, at my friend before glancing down at the outfit choice she had chosen me to go out with Luke. It was nice and simple; and definitely looked like I hadn't gone out of my way for Luke. Which is what I wanted.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Ni?" Carmella asked me, her eyebrows furrowing as she bit her lip slightly. "Remember what I told you?"

"Yes, I remember your friend who lost her virginity to him and she never got a phone call or text ever again." I said as I sighed, blowing a piece of hair out of my face. "But, we don't need to worry about me, because I won't even be touching Luke. Not anywhere."

"Hm. If you say so." She retorted, popping her lips as she folded her arms. "I mean, he isn't bad looking and he has nice eyes and..."

I quickly turned my head to give her a huge glare.

"Okay, okay." She said defensively. "I got it. No touching."

I sat out the front of my house, my head in my hands as I waited for Luke. No surprise, it was six-thirty - thirty minutes after Luke was supposed to pick me up and he still wasn't here. I felt kind of stupid - waiting and getting ready for something that didn't seem to be happening. With a huff, I begun to get up and head back.

I stopped when a car quickly pulled up on the driveway - their headlights shining on me. The window was put down and there but no other than Luke, sitting in the drivers seat with one arm on the wheel. He looked nice - actually. He wore a white button up dress shirt and his hair had a few curls at the bottom.

"Get in, loser." He hollered, replacing all the nice thoughts I just had with nasty. I sat in the passenger side before turning to look at him, my eyebrow arched.

"Hey." He said, giving me a small wave as his eyes raked me down.

"Hi."

"Sorry I'm late." He said, taking me by surprise. "There was a lot of traffic on the way here. And by traffic, I mean there might have been a small sausage dog outside of my house that I pet for about ten minutes."

"Is that so?" I laughed, brushing off the fact he was late. "I guess that's cool because I probably would have done the same thing."

He chuckled slightly before a silence fell over us. He then looked over at me, his eyes meeting mine. The way he was looking at me, sent chills down my spine and I bit my lip in confusion. We held eye contact for a good few seconds before I grabbed the hem of skirt, staring straight in front of me and away from him. I grabbed my seatbelt, pulling it forward.
