(Play the music whenever you want. Can anyone guess where this song is from, besides Final Fantasy?)

"Hello again. Fancy, we keep running into each other. Long time, no see. Did you miss me?"

Every fiber in my being was telling me to scream, or run, or do something. But instead, I stood there with hatred towards this... thing. This monster. This creature was not my Travis. I had somehow created him. I made the demon that was now before me. It was all my sorrow, hate, suffering, and fear, taking a human form, which happens to be my boyfriend on ultra demon mode.

"Why are you doing this?" I ask with anger and confidence I didn't know I still had.

The oddity looked around with curiosity. Glancing at all the havocked, burning houses with sword in hand.

"I think I'm doing this neighborhood a favor. It was so boring before." Demon Travis commented with an enigmatic tone, still scanning the wreckage he had caused.

     "Are you going to stop?"

His black, lifeless eyes bolted to mine.

     "Never."

"Fine. Then tell me where Travis is."

     "You're looking at him, sweetheart."

"But how can that be possible-"

The demon eyes turn green for not even a second.

     "Travis..." I whisper sympathetically.

"Indeed." said the evil spirit. "He's almost gone. Soon he'll be nothing but a lost soul, scouring the earth, with no remembrance of who he once was."

I stood in silence as I stared at the black, asphalt road beneath my feet.

"It's just a matter of time and soon, he'll be dead.

"SHUT UP!!! YOU'RE LYING!!!" I screamed wit tears blinding my vision.

"That's what you want to believe, but no matter what you deceive yourself with, it's the truth. I know your thoughts. You know I speak accurately."

     "I SAID, SHUT UP!!!"

I charge at him, but he side-steps me and slices my left arm with his blade, trips me, and sends me to the ground. Before I can get up, he kicks me in the side and I submit to falling on my back, where he leans over and steps on my fresh wound. I yell in agony, but the fiend shows no signs of remorse.

"Your lover is gone. There's no hope for him with your pathetic act." the demon spat with no remorse and a handful of disgust.

I can feel him. The evil spirit struggles as his eyes turn green to black repeatedly. The demon screams with pain and anger causing him to step off my wound. It feels like a fresh breath of air. I gasp. With much effort, I heave myself up. The demon was still struggling for control of the body. Travis was buying me time. I looked around and found a discarded, broken, metal pipe in a pile of rubble and debris. It was the closest thing to a weapon I was going to get. The demon, being slightly occupied, gave me the chance to creep up behind him. I aimed for his hand, pulled my arms back and swung. Metal collided into metal.

"I am not defeated that easily." the demon remarked, panting relentlessly.

The pipe scrapes against the sword and I kick him in the stomach, sending him backwards. He growls, clutching his stomach.

"Human bodies are weak, useless." the evil spirit reviled.

"Not if you know how to use it." I replied with certainty.

As I guessed, my statement angered him and it was his turn to charge at me. I dodged and hit him with the pipe. He recovered quickly and lunged for my leg. I backed up just in time and knocked his sword away. I couldn't really do anything fatal to him, considering my broken pipe, besides knock him out, but it was still Travis' body, I wasn't going to stab him repeatedly. How would I even get the demon out of his body? I don't have holy water and I most definitely can't preform an exorcism, so that leaves me with my only option. Knocking him out. A surprisingly difficult task. The evil spirit lunged again, barely missing me. I whacked him again, but in return, received a cut on my face. I went to hit him again, but got punched in the face and shoved back I to the ground, splattering blood everywhere. Before he could puncture me with his blade once more, I rolled my body out of the way right before my head was almost sliced through. The demon kicked me in the side and grabbed me by the collar of my shirt now covered in specks of blood, digging the edge of his sword into my neck.

"Now you can join your puny, lovesick companion and suffer together.

I couldn't die. The demon was wrong. Travis wasn't dead. Just hidden beneath his skin. I will not let this idiot ruin everything I love.

" Goodbye, (Y/N). Have fun in hell."

A burst of light sprang from my hand, into the fiend's chest, sending him flying to the other side of the road. I look down and I know have a sword made of pure radiance. The demon looks enraged and black energy is now flowing around him like the light flows around me. I give him a smirk.

     "Come at me, demon boy."

His yell is other worldly and can only be described as satanic.

We run at each other and sparks of light and darkness combust when our weapons collide. We battle viciously as I fight for my life and the demon fights for my death. I hit him square in the jaw and he kicks my stomach. He slices open another wound on my skin, and I puncture a wound on him as well. Our endless fight goes back and forth as if it will never end, but the demon loses his footing for a split second. I take advantage and push him back even harder, lunging and thrusting, until my sword work is too much for him to keep up with. His blade goes into the air and makes a clatter as it hits the ground. I smile. The demon laughs maniacally even though my sword is pointed at his throat.

"You can't kill me. I'm Travis, you wouldn't dare to hurt me."

     The demon laughs again.

"You're right. I can't." I say, absorbing the light sword back into my hand. "Not while you're in that body."

I take a step forward and place my hand on the demons forehead,  sending hope into Travis, feeding it into him. The demon screams as he is pushed out of the host he had controlled and fed upon for so long. Now there were two figures. The first was Travis, who was standing cheerfully despite the mass amount of blood that covered him. The second was an ominous black, wispy character that radiated death, suffering, darkness, and despair. The dark object hovered around Travis, seeking an entrance, but I quickly sought to end the demonic creature. A weapon of light appeared immediately in my hand and I shoved the sword into the gloomy darkness. It let out a terrifying shriek as I killed it so no harm would come to anybody else I cared about. The thing exploded into oblivion, giving no sign that it ever existed. I turned to Travis and smiled, but my body was so tired. I saw his worried face as I fell into the earth.

As my eyes closed, I knew I was safe. Travis' arms were around me as he cried out for Irene. I wanted to say that Irene had already come, everything was fine, but I had already drifted into a deep slumber.
