hi guys! over the past three weeks that this book club has been active, i've had to give out a lot more strikes than i would've liked. i've yet to figure out if people don't feel like completing their assignments or if they just don't fully understand what the assignment entails, but i'm going to go with the latter.

just read the next two or more chapters. an easy and simple solution.

what if your assignment happens to be the bitter brew of the week as well?

well, lucky you. you only have to do half the work everyone else does so there should be no problem completing the assignment.

what if you don't like reading stories like the bitter brew of the week?

okaaay. believe me when i say i'm trying to be as polite as possible here; i don't care. i try my hardest to assign everyone a partner with a story they could be somewhat interested in, but that just isn't possible with the bitter brew of the week. no one is going to like the same thing, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't complete the assignment because you just don't want to, thus ruining your chances of being the bitter brew of the week yourself. just read their story and make a writer's day with a comment because that could be you in the coming weeks.

you have to read a minimum of FOUR chapters, write a minimum of FOUR comments or, if you're into technicalities, a minimum of TWELVE sentences and you have ONE WEEK to complete it all. i find that to be pretty reasonable so please try to find even a little time to do so.
