she slumped on her couch while releasing an exhausted sigh. she eyed the boxes that were laying on the wooden floor.

"i have so much to do!" her eyebrows were knitted together before she started stomping her feet in irritation.

she just moved into an apartment and she really loved how the interior design was built. props to the designer. per room had an equal amount of space and the wall's color scheme was very amazing.

she pulled herself up from the couch, about to go back unpacking but was interrupted by a sudden ringtone.

she looked at the caller's i.d and it spelled out 'mom'. she pressed the green button and brought her phone up to her ear.

"hey, mom." she said while there was a small yet tired smile on her face.

"hello, my darling. please don't forget to give the cookies i baked to your neighbors, ok?" her mom's honey voice said.

"ok, mom. i'll give them later." she replied.

"you sound tired." her mom said sympathetically and if it was on video call, you'd see her pouting.

you might ask yourself: "her mom sounds concerned but why did she let olivia live alone?"

it was never the mom's decision.

in fact, she tried to stop her one and only daughter to leave her nest but since olivia was stubborn and begged to live independently, her mother had no choice but just to let her baby bird fly by herself.

"i am a little exhausted. i think i need to sleep."

"you should take a rest now but don't forget the cookies, ok?"

"i won't." olivia said before pressing the red button and dismissed the call.

she laid herself on the couch and slowly felt her eyelids getting heavier.

she took a deep breath and let it all out before knocking on the door.

she knocked thrice and waited for a response. she heard footsteps and the doorknob twisted.

"hello, i am olivia and i just moved here awhile ago. mom made some cookies to give it to my neighbors. here." she said with a kind smile.

"woah! thank you!" the guy took the packed cookies with excitement in his eyes.

"i am soonyoung, by the way." he extended his free hand and she took and shook it lightly.

"nice meeting you, soonyoung. i'll be going i still have a lot of cookies to give." they both bowed to each other and he finally close the door.

'hmm.. that wasn't bad' she thought to herself and proceed to the next door.
