"kian lawley. get your butt up, we are going to go take pictures," i said through his shut door. i walked around the house, waiting for kian to finally get up and do something. i grabbed the keys off the counter and went back to my room to throw on a jacket.

i saw kian walk out of his room, he went to the door, "i trust that you're ready?" he asked opening the door and walking out. i followed him, staring at the snow that laid on everything that wasn't covered. i went over to the car, opening it and taking the ice scraper from in between the seats. i scraped the windshield and the mirrors, finally stopping at the back rear windshield.

"hey thanks for helping," i said getting into the car and starting it. the heat kicked on and so did the radio. music blasted through the car and i scrambled to turn the music down. it was still snowing lightly as we arrived at a nice place i looked up. it was perfect for the type of pictures i wanted to take.

kian got out of the car and i got out, following him. i snapped a few pictures of him trying to find a place that would be best for my photography. i followed kian around, leaving footprints in the snow.

we finally found an area that kian wanted to have a few pictures with and i happily obliged, snapping many pictures of him in different poses. "i can take a few of you too?" he asked. "sure," i replied taking the strap of the camera off my neck and handing it to kian.

i smiled for a picture and heard the camera click twice. i knelt down and collected some of the sticky snow in my gloved hands. i rolled it into what could resemble a ball, if you couldn't see very well. kian saw this, "jc you are NOT throwing a snowball at me. you know that i don't like the cold!" he yelled beginning to run the other direction.

i chased after him, chucking snowballs at him. unfortunately only one hit him, but it was in the best place. his face. i smiled at him, "this is war!" he yelled running into the car and placing my camera on the passenger seat. he ran back and began to roll little balls out of the snow. he started throwing them at me, nailing me on my back and neck. i made sure to keep my face safe and threw some back, most of them landed on his head since his was bent over trying to roll more balls.

"truce!" he flopped down in the snow and waited for his breathing to go back to normal. i walked over to him, smiling and sitting beside him. "you'll never win a snowball fight against someone who pitched on their baseball team for six years straight." i noticed that kian's nose was now very red, along with his cheeks.

"you look cute with your cheeks red like that," i said running to the car. i took the camera and put the strap around my neck, and walked back towards kian. he sat up and covered his face, "no, no, and no. you're not going to take a billion pictures of me."

"who's gonna stop me?" i asked prying his hands off his face and taking a few pictures. "damn you jc." he said standing up and walking over to the car. i followed and turned on the car, the heat warming me right up. we drove home, the roads not being too hard to drive on.

i walked into the house and to my room. i set the camera on my bed and changed my clothes into something not soaking wet from the snow. i finished changing and took my cable to hook my camera up to my phone and plugged it into my phone. i attached the other end to the camera and began to export the 35 something pictures to my phone.

i sent the ones that kian would want to him and went to instagram. i posted the picture of me to my main account and captioned it 'this was a moment before war. snowball fight!'

kian was the first to like it, i swapped accounts and posted a few of the snow and view. the last picture i put in the collection of pictures, was the first picture i took of kian trying to find a place to take pictures. i posted it, beginning to get questions on both pictures.

jcsbabe: photographer? you didn't take this by yourself.
jaaayc: who is that in the last photo?
jwave: Nice pictures! Who's the model in the last photo?
freckledot: The snowflakes look like frecks, who's the model?
jccatlen: you didn't put photo creds. are you hiding somethin?

jc contemplated telling them who it was but refrained, and set his phone down. his phone dinged, and he knew it was kian, since his and his mother's notifications were the only ones that still rung on silent.

kian: check my insta and like it bih

jc: sorry that i don't have ur post notifis on

kian: *dramatically gasps* rude!

i went to kian's instagram and liked the recent photos. he posted three of them, completely breaking his warm color theme. the first picture was the one i took, its caption was simply 'winter vibes cut through that theme.'

the next one was the picture i caught of him with his gloves at the sides of his face. its caption was a little more. 'the winter shouldn't make our hearts cold. we should try to warm them if they do, and i will try to warm both of our hearts.'

the last picture was when we threw snow up for a picture. 'cold.' i smiled and set my phone down, waiting for kian to do something to interrupt the peace. he didn't.
