Not what I was expecting

When I awoke, I seemed surrounded in pure darkness at first. I could feel the cold steel of my helmet against my face, seeming to feel as glowing cold aura. I couldn't move, I felt as if I was stuck in a state of sleep paralysis. The feeling of eyes around me, something standing over me, something watching me. Perhaps all around me. Something else didn't feel right though. I wasn't in the same area I fought those vikings. Like a sixth sense was telling me that this wasn't were I was stroke down. I slowly started to break out of my paralysis like state, starting with my fingers. Moving them around to get a feel of the texture of the ground I was laying on. My fingers were cutting through a puddle of some sort of liquid I was laying in. It had a warm feeling to it that almost seemed comforting. Possible blood, my own blood. But it was too much. If it was my own blood, Id probably be dead by now. So it couldn't of been. At least I hope. I slowly raised my hand and arm up to my helmet with a grunt. If something was watching me, it hasn't done anything yet. I could feel my nerves coming back to life as I could feel the warm liquid I was laying in. I ran my hand over the visor of something strange that covered over the clear visor of my helmet, preventing me to see. This felt thicker than what I was laying in, like oil. That's when when the memory hit me.

The damn creature blinded me. Whatever that thing was that was with those vikings, it covered my face with some sort of ink. As I sat up and started to lift my helmet off my head to see. I felt something lift off my legs. It almost freaked me out till I saw what it was. Leaf, my dragon, was curled around me with his head resting on my legs. Must have been waiting for me to wake up. He sat up, staring at me with big blue eyes and leaned forward to sniff me, concerned. I smiled weakly and rubbed the top of his feather covered head as he gave me a dry lick. "Glad to see your ok feather head.." I said as he gave a low growl that seemed more like a purr as he rubbed his big head against me, showing happiness that I was ok. He must have been what I felt watching me, waiting for me to wake up. Leaf was a dark green, razor tail dragon with blue slits going up his back and touching around his neck, along with black strips going under his eyes. His sharp, dark green wings were folded and tail rested close by me. The name Razor tail, comes from sharp edges of their tail wings and wings themselves. Sharp and solid enough to cut through almost any man made material. Dangerous to come across, luckily only the females are naturally aggressive, but only if they have eggs. These dragons are normally  4m in length. Leaf is about 3m I think. His feathers were a brilliant blue that when around his head like a lions main. When they sense danger, they sprout up and rustle. Really comes in handy.

I glanced over at Leaf's left wing, to see if the injury was still there. But it wasn't strangely enough. That's when I realized about my own and ran my hand down to my side, expecting to feel the sharp pain of the gash. Instead I felt nothing except the opening of the fabric and armor where I was cut. I looked down and saw clearly where I was struck. No blood, no stains or even a scar. Just a opening in my armor. "How..?" I said out loud and looked at Leaf as if expecting a answer. He just stared back at me before leaning forward and poking his nose against mine, then looking over to left then the right. Trying to get me to look around. Which comes the first question again.. where was I? I looked around and saw we were in a large circular room, filled about a inch with the clear water Leaf and I were sitting in. At least it wasn't blood. Statues of different people dressed head to toe in robes were against the wall, surrounding us. Each statue having its own small dragon or even unique feature to it. Making each one stranded out. The room was lit with blue flamed torches on the walls by each statue. I gazed in amazement, and confusion. The room felt old yet well kept. But how did I get here? Suddenly, a voice broke the dense silence of the room, a soft female voice that had some sort of hidden power to it. "You're finally awake, lovely." It said behind me as I turned to see the source.
