"I love you too."
Johns heart exploded. He didn't know what to say. It felt like everything he had ever believed for the last two years had been a lie. And, actually in a way, it had.
John couldn't seem to put two words together. All he said was
"How long?" Shit why did he say that?
"Since the day Mike brought you to Bart's and ever since. I didn't know what it was at first. Thought I was just feeling a bit down because of the case but it never stopped and it never will."
"I... Sherlock... That's.....Wow...."
John didn't know what to say.
All these years Sherlock had liked John back and he never knew. All these years they could of been together, if one of them had just manned up and done something about it!
Before he knew what he was doing, John crashed his lips into the detectives. He was surprised by how soft his lips were against Johns own chapped ones.
Sherlock looked startled at first but soon began to kiss back. They got lost in the moment and just stood there for what seemed like hours, their lips lingering on one another's.
Eventually, Sherlock spoke, "Let's go home John."
