[ in which bill helps babysit your younger sister ]
I sat in the living room with my 4 year old sister, holly, while i waited for my boyfriend, bill.
both my parents were going to dinner for their 21st wedding anniversary.the doorbell rang at the same time mom threw another lipstick into her purse.
(( lipstick in my valentino white bag ?!?!11! ))hopping up with a smile, I quickly made my way to the front door.
opening the door, i was greeted by a smiling denborough."hey, y-y/n."
"hey !" i gently grab his hand, smiling, and pull him inside, closing the door behind us.
upon seeing the quiet boy, holly's face lit up and she raced over to hug him at his waist.bill had always been good with kids.
especially because he had a younger brother
himself. georgie.i knew the loss of his younger brother had been hard on him.
i insisted he didn't have to help out with holly tonight, not wanting him to be reminded of georgie, although he insisted further that i shouldn't be stuck babysitting alone on a friday night.as the young girl clung onto bill's waist, he smiled down at her and kneeled to be at eye level.
"hey, holly! w-what do you wanna do?"
she gave it some thought before excitedly settling on barbies.she raced to her small collection of dolls, giving bill and i a small bit of time to catch up before she notices us missing.
i wrap my arms around bill's shoulders and lazily slump my head against his chest causing him to chuckle at my childish behaviour.
"shut up." i jokingly grumble, lifting my head to see his face.
his arms snake around my waist as we lose ourselves in each other's eyes, foreheads presses together.
we stay like this for a while, simply enjoying each other's presence.the silent bliss was cut short when i yelp and jump away from his grasp as holly suddenly bolts into the room and yells at us to hurry up.
we slug off and plop down on the beige carpeting.
watching bill and holly collaboratively creating a story with the plastic dolls they held in their hands melted my heart.seeing the two people i love the most, getting along so well simply meant so much to me.
