Let it burn

"When the night falls,

When the moon yearns,

The concrete will be scorched,

And the crows will return,

The finger torch is dropped,

Starting an ant's forest fire,

The arms of this flame extend across the ground.

“Let it burn, let it ALL burn.” I say to myself,

That’s when the fire finally reached town,

The castles paint peeled,

The smoke had it in its grip.

The large female dragon inside,

Can spit no more poison,

As she lies in her bed unaware of,

Her homes erosion.

The venom made my heart rot,

And I died inside,

But now it’s gone and my heart grew cold.

I now feel no pain,

And see no allies,

My sadness consumed me,

 My hatred consumed them.

There was now an inferno,

Standing twenty five,

As I heard the red screamers,

I had to hide.

It rained as they tried to destroy my creation,

They dragged out the serpent from her domain,

She’s unconscious.

My mouth tore open at the side,

As I retreated into the cloak of darkness.

Now she’ll know my pain,

Now she’ll know my venom,

Now she’ll know my sadness. " - Hartforde
