if you guys have any questions regarding the ending of the book or if you're confused about any given point, feel free to ask. it may seem a little confusing, though i tried to make it so that it made the readers think, but not to the point where you don't understand.

the main point is;

leigh got referred to an asylum for the criminally insane for being gay but then got released a few years after once being gay became legal but when she got home, she learns that jade committed suicide due to everything wrong with the world and because she couldn't be who she truly wanted to be. and so, leigh commits suicide because she realises that she literally has nothing left because her parents were killed and her one true love was no longer there.

pretty 'romeo and juliet' right?

it's also really cliche but please don't point that out cos i already know sis. i wanted to write this to kinda expand on my writing technique and see if i could write something serious and about something that actually happened.

as a white heterosexual female, i will never fully understand what people of colour and the lgbt community went through in the past. however i just wanted to say: black lives do matter more than white comfort, lgbt rights are just as valid as heterosexuals, and women are allowed a fucking voice. that's the entire reason i wrote this book, to raise issues on problems that minorities face and have faced in the past. and if you have a voice or a platform then you need to speak out on it.
