Chapter 2: What is She?

The same question kept on repeating in his head, "What is she?" as he kept on driving to his home. He forgot to grab all the stuff on the road, he just ran over it, not really caring, he was more interested in the girl that is knocked out in the passenger seat.He got to his house and it was giant, like one of the houses that a millionaire owns He stopped the car in the middle of the driveway and looked over at Starfire bleeding. He sighed and got out and went over to the other side and picked her up bridal style and brought in his house and laid her on a couch and went into the kitchen to grab stuff and came back. He slowly started to clean up the blood and to make sure he didn't hurt her further then she already was.

He cleaned as much as he could and the bleeding stopped after a while and he had blood everywhere on him, but he wasn't bothered by it. He sighed and sat down on the coffee table right next to the couch and he studied her features. She kinda has a normal human body but she is missing an arm her face is filled with eyes everywhere and she has one nose, her eyes go all the way through her neck and her arms. For the one with the full arm the eyes stop at the wrist and on the palm of her hand she has one single eye on it. On the other half arm the eyes go all the way to the end of where it is cut off. In the front of her body she has long straight hair where it outlines her face. He shook his head in disbelief. This can't be happening, maybe i'm going insane and she isn't real! He thought to himself. "She doesn't even have a mouth for God's sake!" He starts speaking out loud now.

As he was freaking out and trying to decide if he was losing his mind or not, Starfire was dreaming, and talking in her sleep. "I can't wait! I seriously can't wait to do this!" She says out loud, but when the guy that helped her looked up at her, he noticed that she was speaking, but it sounded muffled. "How can she speak if she has no mouth!?" He asked out loud, it was hard to make out what she was saying but he figured it out. "And what is she so excited about?" He decides to flip her body, to see how she is speaking and see where the noise was coming from. He flipped her over and his eyes widen. A mouth was on the back of her head. How is this possible?!?!? He sighs and decides to let her sleep and he would watch her to see if anything would happen.

Hours passed of him watching her, eating snacks, watching tv, and drinking some pop. He mostly watched her but took some breaks and it was becoming an end of the day and she still hasn't woken up yet. Nighttime fell and he starts to doze off and later he hears Starfire scream as loud as she could. He opened his eyes quickly and looked at her with worried eyes. She was up and and all her eyes looked around frantically. Her whole body is shaking out of fear and some of the eyes started to cry. She had no idea what is going on. He slowly gets up and tries to walk toward her. He stops as all her eyes find him and is looking at him with so much fear. Everything about her body told him she was scared and you would have to be very patient.

He took another step forward and puts his hand out to show its ok, that she didn't have to be scared. He opened his mouth to say something but before he could say anything, she got up and started to run but she didn't know where to go and accidentally backed herself against the wall of a corner, and her whole body trembled out of fear. He sighed and started to walk to her again and each step he took she slowly went down to the wall and ended up on the ground leaning on the wall when he reached her and sat down in front of her, and put his hands up in defence, to show her no harm.

"Its ok, i am not going to hurt you...I actually did the opposite, i helped you...i want to help you." He say with so much caution. Starfire still hasn't stopped shaking and crying, she is trying to back up even more but cant cause she did back herself into a corner. He would of let her out but she would just keep running and he wanted to help her so he stayed put right in front of her. He slowly puts his hand on her shoulder and tries to calm her by rubbing it. It feels very weird to him because the eyes on top of her shoulder. "Its ok, I promise!"

She starts to calm down just a bit, but she is still shaking and scared. She stops crying and looks at him and manages to get this out, but her voice wavered so much. "W-w-w-who a...are you?" She asked him holding onto whatever she can which is the wall, but mainly she is just putting her hands on it for dear life. "My name is Jackson and can i ask you the same as well? What is your name?" Jackson asked her but she just shook her head no and looked down, and he sighed. "I am not letting you get up from this until you tell me your name." He says not wanting to be mean but he didn't want to play this game where she didn't talk.

She looks up at him and starts to speak slowly. "My name...my name is Starfire..." She says so low that he barely heard her, but understood that. He shook his head in approving that she is talking to him and telling him her name. "Thank you for saying your name, Starfire is a very nice name." He said still rubbing her shoulder. He noticed that she was still shaking and not wanting to scare her even more he removed his hand from her shoulder and smiled lightly. "Dont worry, that is all i'm going to ask for now, but we are going to continue this conversation tomorrow, alright?" He asked her feeling like she is talking to a child, but the way she was acting all scared and her body was shaking uncontrollably he felt sorry for her and knew he had to take this very slow if he wants to find out what she was.

Starfire shook her head as in she understood, but she didn't try and get up. "Alright, good. Let me show you to your room and you can sleep there, ok?" She truly didn't understand the word room, but she understood sleep and she shook her head again. Jackson got up and faced her and looked at her and held out his hand to her to help her. He noticed that most of her body is healed and that explains why she was able to move away from him when she first woke up. She didn't get up and tried to run away again but he grabbed her by the wrist on the full arm where the eyes stop on the wrist and got her to stand up. "Im sorry but it is late and you don't need to be running around and going outside, who knows what they will do to you?" She was struggling under him and he picked her up bridal style and took her to a room. She was very light, but she kept on struggling and he tighten his grip on her not to hurt her but to keep her not struggling.

The room was huge and had a giant bed in the middle of it, three doors and a dresser. The bed had lots of pillows and it looked so comfy, and had multiple blankets on the bed. All the doors were open and two of them was leading to a huge spaces ish closet and the other door leads to a giant bathroom. The giant dresser has so many nik naks and pictures of Jackson. Starfire stopped struggling after a bit and looked into the room with wide eyes like she doesnt know what this stuff is. Jackson looks at her reaction and laughs a bit and brings her to the bathroom. "Now you can take a shower and i will get you a change of clothes and you can sleep later." He says as putting her down but she just stares at him in confusion. "W-what is a sh-shower?" She asked timidly.

"Oh...well...eh..you take-you take off your clothes and..." She started to take off her shirt and he goes wide eye and puts her shirt down before it goes any further. "After i explain and i get out of here." He says and she shakes her head in ok. He explains how to take a shower and shows her how to get it cold or hot. He walked out of the bathroom when he was done explaining and shuts the door. He unmakes the bed for her and grabs some old sweats that he had when he was younger, it looked like the closet thing he had to her size, but she was so skinny. And he also grabbed her a shirt and folded them up and waited for her to be done. She took thirty minutes and she knocked on the door cause i told her to knock on the door when she was done and he would leave the clothes on the ground and he would turn around when she go them. And they did just that, and she walked out with her hair soaked and dripping down her new shirt. Jackson laughed a bit and grabbed her towel from her hand and turned her around and dried her hair.

After Jackson dried her hair, he also combed her hair out and she did struggle a bit, because she didn't know what he was doing but stopped after a while. Letting him comb her hair. After he was done he grabbed her hand and led her to the bed and laid her down and put the covers over her. She didn't know what is was but she felt warmth so she snuggled in it and she felt safe under it. In Jackson's eyes she looked like a child a bit and he smiled. "Goodnight Starfire" He says, and waits for a response but she already fell asleep. He sighed and walked out and went to his room and stayed up through half the night thinking about her. I got to figure out everything! Everything i mean! What is she? He thought over and over again until he fell asleep.
