Kayla's pov
Time to go to the hell whole I call a job. I do the same thing i do everyday to get ready and then I head to the diner. I was actually on time today. It was really slow today. But finally my day became a little better because guess who walked in? Cody. We made eye contact and smiled as soon as we saw each other. I walked over to him "Two chocolate chip pancakes?" "You got it." I put in his order and walked back to his table. "Thank God you came in. It's been so slow today I really needed something to cheer me up." We talked for a little bit since no one was coming in and he brought up how he wants to meet Bailey again. So, I invited him over tonight to get take out and watch movies. "Oh my god I can't wait!" We were interrupted by some yelling "Two chocolate chip pancakes!" I went over and grabbed them for him. "These are the best chocolate chip pancakes" he said with his mouth full. "I know I love them!" Soon he was finished eating and he payed for his food and gave me a tip. "Tell Morgan I hope she's having a good day!" "I will." With that he left and I was left bored again.

Cody's pov
I can't believe I'm going over to Kayla's apartment tonight! I left the diner and when I got back to work I told Morgan that Kayla hopes she's having a good day. She smiled and kept looking at her computer. I don't think I've ever seen Borgan smile before. Borgan is our nickname for her. Get it? Boring + Morgan = Borgan. I didn't tell her I was coming over tonight. I think Kayla should be the one to do that.

Kayla's pov
The day was coming to an end. I was the one who had to stay to close the diner tonight. We rotate who does it and tonight was my night. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

*New text message from Cody 🤙🏼

Cody 🤙🏼: What time should I come over tonight.
Kayla: Around 6
Cody 🤙🏼: Sounds good! Can't wait to see you again :)
Kayla: Neither can I!

I got home and gave Cody my address. I needed to get ready. I put on a pair of dark blue ripped jeans, an army green shirt with my black bralette's straps showing and a pair of tan boots. I put on a cute bracelet and straightened my hair. I put on some natural makeup and sat on the couch and waited for Cody. A little while later I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and Cody was immediately taken down by Bailey. "Oh my god you are way bigger than I thought you would be." We laughed and ordered our takeout. We sat on the couch while watching "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" on Netflix. Our takeout came and I cuddled up against Cody as we watched the movie and ate. The last thing I remember before falling asleep was Cody taking my food out of my hands and put it on the table, turn the TV and lights off and give me a kiss on my forehead before leaving.
