Chapter 6 -
It has been just three days since Jhanvi has set foot in Dehradun, and she has already turned our schedules upside down.
We are spending almost all day outside, eating, shopping, going to movies; Jhanvi is too much into sports maybe that is why we are, since three days continuously engaged in Go-kart racing, Horse-riding, Cycling, Boating, Skating, Rock-climbing and all possible sports available in our sweet little town.
"Jhanvi..tthat wass..' ccrazy" I said panting and falling to the ground, completing my rock-climbing 'session'.
"Oh come'on you guys..." Jhanvi said casually removing her helmet and elbow pads.
"I'm tired, let us go grab a drink" Jia suggested pointing towards a small cafe across the street.
We went to the cafe and upon entering we were greeted by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet smell of chocolate.
"Yum.." Jhanvi said rubbing her palms and walking towards a table in the far right corner, the table was against the huge 'roof-to-floor' window which offered a great view of my busy little town. I smiled at the hustle-bustle in the adjacent street, this liveliness of this town always gives me a sense of peace and 'being at home' feeling.
Well, whatever. I was pulled out of my thought when a young waitress called out asking for our order, standing beside Jia's chair.
"Hello what can I get for you?" She asked holding pen and a small blue notepad in her hands and a genuine smile plastered on her pink lips.
I was about to open my mouth to place my order when a familiar voice behind me interrupted - "A bottle of poison please" it said.
Jhanvi's head snapped up at the sudden remark, and Jia wore her as usual shocked expression. The poor waitress looked into her direction with wide eyes and shocked look.
I slowly turned my head in the direction of the source of the sound. And suddenly I was face to face with a girl with a cold expression on her face and and anger evident in her eyes, her arms were crossed against her chest and she stood leaning against a table and two people seated behind her. I couldn't look at them because she was blocking my view.
I gulped audibly and frowned, I gave her a nervous as well as scared kind of a smile.
"Pardon me?" The waitress asked in a low voice.
"Or how about a knife?" She spat in a fake excited voice.
The waitress widened her brown eyes even more and gasped.
"Hey hey, re'relax..She is jjust kidding. She is my friend" I tried to calm the poor girl. I dismissed her and ten Jhanvi said, "Munnu?"
"Oh! you guys remember me? I didn't expect that." Munnu scowled. Drama queen.
"What's wrong?" Jhanvi asked furrowing her brows and getting up to approach where Munnu and I were standing.
Thats when the two people behind her stood up, giving me their full view. Maahi and Avi? Oh no...trouble.
"Care to explain Seher?" Avi said giving me a fake smile and standing exactly the way Munnu is, crossing his arms and leaning against the table. Weird.
