Dear diary thingy or whatever,
Yesterday was the first day at my new school. It was pretty chaotic to be honest. I'm quite frankly not in the mood to talk about it. I am, surprise surprise (not), not in the mood to talk at all actually; therefore, I am gonna go. See you later.

Getting up this morning was less of a chore than yesterday. I just have to do this at least twenty more days and it should begin to be a habit- a dreadful one that is. Feeling sore from head to toe due to yesterday's basketball game (that I am still bitter about, by the way), I settle on a comfy, loose outfit. Today is just going to be one of those days.

I examine myself in my full-length mirror, chuckling at the expression on my face. Let's just say that I resemble a dead fish right now. Not even bothering to fidget with my hair, I leave it in the messy ponytail I fell asleep in last night.

Deciding to skip breakfast this morning to avoid the trillions of questions my aunt is sure to ask about my first day, I quietly sneak to the front door, praying that my aunt will keep her back turned as she brews her morning tea.

Successfully, not to mention miraculously considering how clumsy I am, making it out the door, I hastily make my way to the end of my street, suddenly unsure of what I should do with the extra thirty plus minutes I have to spare until first hour starts.

Suddenly, my stomach gurgles. No, not grumbles- it gurgles, indicating that even though I didn't want to eat in my own house, I should probably find a food source elsewhere. Breakfast is, after all, the most important meal of the day.

An idea pops into my head. There was a cafe me and my uncle used to go to every morning to get our favorite breakfast treat: matcha mochi toast and chocolate milk. Unable to rid my thoughts of the creaminess of the matcha milk tea jam and the crunchiness of the toast, I make my way toward the cafe, which happened to be about ten minutes walking distance from my street. I could catch a bus to the school afterwards and make it in time for first hour.

On the walk to the shop, I try to recall the last time I visited the shop. Uncle Hwon took me there the day he broke the news to me that he and my aunt would be splitting up. I never had the courage to go back there since. The pain was too fresh. But now, I have grown to accept what happened- or at least have learned how to block out the pain easier. Besides, my practically screeching stomach is taking control of my decisions at this point.

The front of the cafe looks exactly the same- the only difference being that the flower pots were now filled with hibiscus flowers rather than the cherry blossoms that were there the last time I visited. Breathing in the scent of the flowers, I walk into the shop, hit by a strong smell of brewing coffee and cinnamon.

The familiarity of the cafe warms my body as well as my heart, and I eagerly make my way to the counter. Entranced by the colorful pastries and desserts that were carefully placed in platters all across the counter, I zone out, forgetting the whole reason I walked in to begin with.

Suddenly, a musical voice interrupts my trance and I snap my head up, practically breaking my giraffe neck. A baby-faced boy with black cropped hair smiles brightly at me. "Hello miss. I'm Jungkook. Welcome to Mama Jeon's Cafe. How can I help you today?"

His cheery aura seems to be contagious because before I know it, a huge smile is spread across my own face. I blame it on the sleep deprivation- if I were fully awake and aware, nothing, not even a boy as cute as him could bring a smile to my face this early in the morning.

"Hi Jungkook. I would like two slices of matcha mochi toast and a bottle of chocolate milk, please."

"Ahh. Matcha mochi toast- one of my personal favorites as well. I will have that right out, ma'am." His smile never leaves his face and I can't help but to internally gush at how adorable he is.

I decide to sit down at a nearby table, too lazy to continue to stand and wait. Now, what happens next...well, you most likely won't be too surprised considering bad luck seems to follow me wherever I go.

A pink-haired man-baby waltzes into the shop. Upon seeing Jungkook, he barrels over and clutches the taller boy in a bone-crushing hug. I could practically
hear the snapping of Jungkook's precious bones. I wince, continuing to intensely examine the interaction between the two contrasting boys.

"Jungkook, hyung, you know exactly what I want!"

Jungkook laughs, enjoying the embrace of his shorter friend. "I do, indeed, Chimchim: one order of matcha mocha toast, one milk pudding, and one bottle of chocolate milk."

Jimin ruffles Jungkook's hair, causing Jungkook to whine. "Stop, Jimin-ah! It took me forever to perfect my hair this morning."

Jimin laughs and Jungkook pouts. "Ah, I see. Trying to impress the ladies, huh?"

Jungkook blushes, glancing over at me slightly. I quickly look away, not wanting him to realize I had been pretty much stalking them- with my eyes at least. I'm too lazy to be a physical stalker.

I begin to tap my fingers on the table, trying to ignore the growing impatience of my stomach as it begins gurgling again.

A voice interrupts my concentration- I had been counting the tiles on the ceiling. "Your order, miss."

I look up, thanking Neptune that my food was finally done and ready to be devoured. Jungkook smiles sheepishly at me, handing me the bag that my food was placed neatly in.

"Thank you. You have just made my stomach very very happy." I say, patting my abdomen dramatically. He laughs and my cheeks heat up, realizing what a weird thing it was that I just said.

"You're cute when you blush, Miss...?" He trails off and tilts his head slightly, indicating that he's waiting for me to finish his sentence.

"Mei Chung Lee." I blush even more profusely, taken aback by his sudden forwardness.

"Well, I hope you come back and see me again sometime soon, Mei Chung Lee. Have a lovely day!" He smiles, his eye-smile showing prominently. Sheesh, this kid is too cute for words.

Trying not to show how much of a bumbling mess- not to mention starving mess- I was right now, I hastily get out of my seat, thanking Jungkook for his kindness. As I make my way toward the door, I happen to make eye contact with Jimin, who appears bothered by something. He shifts uncomfortably and looks away from my eyes, forcing a smile onto his face when Jungkook walks over to him.

Hm, Park Jimin is an idiot, but I have to give it to him: he is one intriguing idiot.
