Leigh's POV
"Sam, you know I hate parties." I told my Best friend for the fourth time before leaving for Perrie's New Years party that night.
"I thought that was because of the alcohol and you won't be drinking any 'cause of the baby." She replied fixing her hair and I sighed in frustration. I've hated parties long before I mentioned it to her and the only reason I did was because I wasn't expected to go anymore. When I was a cheerleader I was expected at every football party, but since becoming pregnant and exiled I was only supposed to give her company. "Leigh, if you don't want to go it's fine." Sam said sweetly looking away from the mirror to look at me. Even though she said it was fine I knew she hated showing up to parties alone and without any friends.
"No, I don't want you to go alone." I said putting on my best smile.
"Thank you, let's go." We walked outside and got into her car. It wasn't a long drive, so we got there quickly. I was letting Sam walk me inside. She found her friends from her class and I found a spot on the couch. I looked around surprised to see loads of people from school here. I saw Andre talking to all the guys on the team and Jesy talking to Perrie leaning on the wall, standing really close which was normal for them. I stood up from the couch and walked over to Jesy and Perrie.
"Hi Leigh!" Jesy said happily, but Perrie gave me a look that said I interrupted something.
Jesy looked at Perrie and she said, "Hey."
"Hey guys." I said then looked directly at Perrie. "Did you invite all the kids from school?"
"Jes did." She replied pointing to the girl next to her.
"I did and everyone came except for Lucy and Lydia!" Perrie cheered, "I'm free!" (I wish smh..) I felt my stomach turn.
"Jade's here?" I asked quietly.
"Yup!" Jesy said happily but Perrie just smirked. I walked away without a word, but I could faintly hear Jesy say, "Bye Leigh." I felt nervous and I knew the exact reason why; I always felt nervous when I thought about Jade Thirlwall. It had gotten worse and worse the more I went 'cause after a while I started to let my guard down and Jade and I had become friends and the butterflies in my stomach got worse when she talked to me. I tried to put it off, but whenever I even thought of her my stomach would jump and I would start to feel dizzy. Now that I'm far enough along in my pregnancy to feel the baby kick I've noticed she seems to like Jade too and kicks whenever she speaks.
I walked around trying to find Sam, but she had been dragged away so I sat back down on the couch and tried to make myself invisible. It worked for awhile, but eventually Jade came over with a cup in her hand and sat down next to me.
"Hey Jade." I said trying to ignore the dance party in my stomach.
"Leighly!" Jade said a little loudly and I knew she was drunk or at least tipsy. I let my eyes look at her outfit and saw her dressed in a black shirt with two buttons down and white skinny jeans which made her look extremely hot, I felt myself fluster before looking up into her eyes.
"Are you drunk Jade?" I asked, concerned.
"I think so. Liam handed me a drink and now I feel loopy." She said scrunched her face in a way that I thought was adorable.
"Let me take you home." I said grabbed her wrist and standing up.
"We can't leave. We have to wait until midnight." She replied seriously. I sat back down and let go of her hand.
"Why do we have to wait til' midnight?" She looked around to make sure no one was listening before leaning in close to my face.
"Jesy says I have to kiss you at midnight, but don't tell Leigh." She put her finger to her lips and I sat back against the couch, thinking about her words.
