Alec's POV

The ride passed by so fast and the closer I got to the castle, the more my stomach turned. And once we got there, I didn't want to go in but I did anyway. As I walked in the gate and up the steps I saw Max, my little brother, playing with on of the guards. Once he saw me, he ran into my arms and saw my eyes were red and puffy.

"ALEC!" He yelled then ran into my arms. "Why's your face all red?"

"Never-mind that, now go play." He nodded and gave me one more hug, the ran. I walked inside the castle and into the ballroom. Izzy and Jace saw me and ran to me. Izzy beat him to the hug.

"Alec...w-why are you crying?" She asked cupping my face in her hands, Jace's hand on my back. "What happened?" She asked searching my eyes for answers. I just started to cry again, reaching up and putting one of my hands on one of hers. "Oh Jace." She said worried.

"What? What is it Iz?"

"Tell me it's not true Alexander." She whispered. Jace still had questioning eyes. She sighed. "He's fallen in love."

"YOU WHAT?!" Yelled my mother. I winced and so did my siblings. "Alec," She started. "First you run from the rehearsal, and now your falling in love?" I looked down but nodded. "I don't even recognize you anymore."

"I'm the same person mother, just maybe a little bit different." She scowled at me.

"Who is she?" I gave her a look. "Who is he?" She corrected.

"That's none of your concern," She rose her eyebrows. "I learned a lot mother, about the world, about the people, about love." She scoffed.

"You don't know anything about love."

"Oh and you do?" I questioned. "Mother, I didn't want to fall in love with him." She looked confused now. "I learned more about him, everything about him. But I uh, lied to him to keep from coming back here. I used Jace's name."

"What why my name?"

"It was the first thing that popped into my head." I said with out even turning around. "Anyways, mother I did all these wonderful things. I saw a carnival, I drank beer, and I went swimming but not in a pool!"

"This is what I was afraid of Alec. You have a fiancée to worry about...where's your ring?" She asked and I pulled it out of my pocket.

"I'm not getting Married mother," I said and threw it on the ground. She was completely appalled. "At least not to Lydia." I then walked off and to my room. Once I laid on my bed I started to cry again. I hated it here and I wanted to sleep next to the one man I love. But I couldn't. There was a knock on my door but I knew exactly who it was. "Go away Mother!"

"Your getting Married Alexander. In the day after tomorrow." The I heard her walk away. I picked up my lamp that was on the side dresser and threw it. I was just so mad. Then once of the guards came in with a broom and dust pan to clean it up.

"Beg pardon, your Highness." Then he was about to leave but I stopped him.

"Wait!" He turned to look at me. "Can you send a letter and give it  to someone, personally, for me?" He smiled and nodded.

"Yes sir." I then sat at my writing desk and wrote a letter to Magnus. I gave it to him and his eyes widened. "M-Magnus bane!?" He whisper yelled.

"Shhh. Yes. He's the one I fell in love with." He nodded and walked out. I sat back down on my bed and pulled out the picture he drew of me. I smiled and turned it over. But then my brows furrowed, I never knew he wrote something on the back of this. It read, 'To The One Person I Can Trust and Love.' I laid down, still holding the picture in my hands. I gently closed my eyes and soon enough I fell asleep.
