Alec's POV

The next morning, I rolled over and Instead of finding Magnus gone, he was right next to me. I smiled and sat up looking at him. Pushing a piece of hair out of his face, he started to wake. He slowly sat up next to me, stretching.

"Morning." He said kissing me, slowly leaning into it. I broke it and Magnus was none too happy. Then he saw worry in my eyes. "Hey, you okay?" I nodded and got up, proceeding to get dressed. I had just gotten my pants on and I felt his arms around me. "Your not ok. What's wrong." The truth was, I had gotten a letter a couple days ago and....I've been called into war. I didn't want to tell Magnus that. He could definitely loose me that way. But I love him. So I can tell him. He just got done putting on his clothes and turned back to me. "You know, you do not have to tell but-"

"I will tell you as soon as I can." I said looking directly at him. I put my blouse and vest on and so did he. "I have to get to The Institute. Please come with me." I pleaded. He nodded still worried about me. We put on our boots and cloaks, then headed out the door. The ride there was quiet until Magnus spoke up.

"The blossoms have bloomed this spring. Do you remember the blossoms when we first met. I grabbed on and gave it to you. Except the one I gave you was blue." He said laughing a bit. "Do you remember them?" I nodded but said nothing. Once we got there I helped him down and we walked in together. I walked right up to Clary, Jace, and Izzy with Magnus by my side.

"When?" I asked throwing the letter on the table.

"Tomorrow morning." Jace replied with sadness in his eyes. Looking between me and Magnus.

"What's all this about?" He asked.

"You haven't told him?" Jace whisper yelled. I shook my head.

"Tell me what?" I sighed and turned to look at him.

"I've been called to war." I said and he fell to the floor. "Magnus!" I yelled and pulled him back up. I saw tears build up in his eyes.

"Is there any way out of it?" He begged me. I shook my head. He grabbed onto me. "Another Prince perhaps?"

"No Magnus. It has to be me. I have to fight for my Kingdom." He shook his head.

"No. I will not lose you like I loose everyone else!" Clary and everyone sighed and walked off.

"We'll give you some space." Clary said closing the door. I nodded and turned back to Magnus.

"When will you be back?" He questioned and I took a breath in.

"Not for a week." He sucked in a breath and went week in my arms. "I leave tomorrow." He pulled me and hugged me. I've never seen Magnus like this before. It broke my heart, really it did. When he looked back at me, he took a breath in.

"Right when you get back. We're getting married, so in case you....die in battle, I can have a piece of you." I nodded.

"Most defiantly." He smiled, makeup running. I wet a rag and wiped it off. "I love you." I said and he put his hand on my cheek. I leaned into his palm as he held my hand with the other.

"I love you too." He smiled sadly and so did I.

Magnus's POV

The day went by so fast. It felt like two seconds went by and now we're lying in bed. Only me awake. Or so I thought.

"Alec?" I asked.

"Hmm?"

"Your awake right?" I asked hugging our blanket close to my chest.
