chapter 5

(Asli POV)

After Teo left I sat down for a while and contemplated on what he said. Should I accept his offer?
No I did the right thing. I was in a state of dilemma. Suddenly uncle Adam called me and told me that someone had called for a cab. I went to the building where I had to pick up my customer. In a few minutes a handsome man in a three-piece suit came and sat down in my taxi. I was watching him for a few minutes and then I heard someone clearing his throat and I came out from my state of trance. I cursed myself for being  such a stupid one. He told me where he was headed to and so I started the taxi and started driving.

(Baris POV)

I was wondering what I should do to make her accept this job offer. From what I came to know about her she was a very stubborn girl. She won't do anything which was against her principles. Suddenly an idea popped in  head. I picked up my phone and told Teo my plan. After 10 minutes I was out of my office and was heading towards the taxi standing a few blocks away from my office. I was grinning.

I got in the taxi and saw her. Whenever I saw her something unusual sparked inside me. I was attracted towards her. I saw that she was looking at me and I smiled in my mind. Then I cleared my throat she blushed. I was happy when I saw her like this. Then I told her the address and we started our journey.

She was a chirpy girl she kept talking to me and I rarely replied her. I thought that this was the time to convince her to work for me. Suddenly I saw that another taxi was trailing our taxi . I looked at her she sighed  ,from her expression I could make out that she knew whoever was in that taxi. I asked her who it was and she told me that it was none of my business. What was she up to god knows. Suddenly the car behind us came infront of us. And then it came to a halt all of a sudden. Our taxi bumped into it. A man came out from the taxi ahead of us and she also got out.
I followed her lead and then I held her by her wrist and stopped her saying that I will talk to him. " Who are you to interfere in my matters. Stay out of it." She scolded me . I was shocked. She was the first woman to scold me.

She moved towards the man and started fighting with him. He threatened her and took out his phone to call the police. I interfered in time and took the man aside.

(Asli POV)

Whoever the man was took Ben aside and God knows what was he telling him. I saw that the expression on Ben's face changed and now he looked scared.
They came back and to my surprise Ben said sorry and then the man handed him his card. Ben said " Asli I am sorry for my misbehaviour but there is no need for you to involve your lawyer in this " with this he left. What my lawyer? I looked at the man with a questioning look. He ignored me and went and sat in the taxi. After all this I needed an explanation but from his expression I could feel that he was not going to give me one.
