chapter 2

(Baris POV)

So I was meeting my aunts for lunch in an Italian restaurant. I reached the place with Teo, he actually accompanies me wherever I go. My aunts are very lovely  in fact my elder aunt Shahnaz was also a renowned lawyer but now she prefers working at home and does not deal with criminal cases anymore. So I go and sit with them. My aunt Sarah is worried because I don't keep in touch with them.
At that time I hear a similar voice. I turn and find that my biggest enemy Deniz Onder  was standing beside our table.
He says" good to see you again Baris, and aren't these lovely women your aunts".

At that time I want to punch him in his face. Why the hell was he here and why was he disturbing us.

" Baris would you mind accompanying me, I want to have a few words with you"

I get up from my seat and go to a corner to hear what he has to say. " Speak up" I say in an angry tone.

" I want to show you something" ,he hands me his phone and then I see a video of an accident. I am shocked because the car in the video was my car, actually it's one of my favourites, it's the silver retro car I owned. I see that the car hits a little girl and then fleds away. I then see the date and time in the video, it was 15th March wasn't it the day when Hakan, My cousin borrowed it from me. Now I realize that why was Deniz here, he was here to blackmail me so that I give up being his wife's divorce lawyer.

And my assumptions are true, he says " why don't you just give up the idea of being my wife's divorce lawyer or should I just reveal this video to the media. You and both are aware of what will happen if it comes in the hands of media".

Actually I knew what would be the consequences if something like this happens. It would affect my career as well as my family. My world will crumble down.

He then smiles and pats me on my shoulder and leaves. I see his retreating figure and wonder what will be my next step. I return back to the table. My aunts and Teo look at my pale face and ask me what happened . I tell them the truth because there was no need to hide it. My aunt Sarah says" Hakan my son can never do this I am sure of it". My aunt Shahnaz is upset as well as angry on her sister she says " it was because of your pampering that all this happened."

I'm getting really irritated. Seriously was this the time to discuss all this. I finally lose my temper and say " will you both please stop is this the time to discuss all this." They look at me and stop blaming each other.

I ask my aunt Sarah of Hakan's whereabouts she says that he was at the club last night but will be returning home in a little while.

We all go to my aunts house. They both live together actually my elder aunt never married and my second aunt was a divorcee. So she lived with her son Hakan in my elder aunt's house.

We reach the place and find Hakan taking sun bath near the pool. We all rush near him. Then I start questioning him that where was he on that day. He says that he was at the club. I tell him about the accident so that I could see the trace of guilt on his face. But he himself is surprised . He says that he was drugged that day and his money and car keys were stolen. But the next day he was in the club and the club manager gave him the keys saying that he had given it to someone and that person had returned it and gone.

Finally I get the whole picture in my head. So someone stole the car and the accident was caused by him but thinking that he might get caught he returned the keys and fled away.

I was really worried that what will happen if someone finds this out. I was wondering what happened to the girl and whether her family had taken any steps to find the culprit. I tell Teo to find out about all this. And then return back to my home because I was not in the mood to work now after all this.
