Guess who's having issues sticking to the original plot line and updating on time because their life is spiraling out of control

MEEE

Archie knew what he wanted. He wanted Jug. And you know what? He was gonna get Jug.

Today when Jug came over, he would claim him. At least he would try. If Jug couldn't see it... well we won't think about that yet.

Archie went through the morning as normally as he could, although he did skip out on breakfast. Archie didn't feel like he could keep anything down, not with his impending doom looming over his head. If Jug says no, Archie doesn't know what he'll do. He obviously doesn't want to force Jughead into anything, but he also doesn't feel he can live without him.

If Jughead says no, Archie will simply break of the friendship. He doesn't think he'll be able to live with just being friends If Jug says no. Which, Archie believes he will, because there's no evidence Jug likes him, or that he's even interested in guys. Archie's not gay, he's not Bi, he's not straight, he's not pan, he's Jughead sexual. It seems kind of stupid to put into words, but many could argue liking the best friend you can't have is stupid in and of itself. Simply spoken, Archie must have Jughead.

Archie's mental quips got cut short, as Jughead seemed to be at the door. The quick excited rapping of the wooden entrance, the small shadow of a Jughead shaped figure.... Yeah Archie was officially screwed.

Archie took his time walking to the door, taking deep breaths and focusing on his fake smile. Now, he didn't want to seem like a narcissist, but he was a great actor, and a great liar.

Don't get him wrong, but a few of the thoughts racing around in his mind were 'you must have Jughead' and 'make him yours already.

He didn't want to force Jug into anything... but maybe he'd use a little manipulation. That couldn't hurt right? Wrong? No he's definitely right...

Once the door was open, Archie found it increasingly difficult to keep up his façade.

"Hey Jug, come on in."

Jughead nodded with a grin. He sure loved hanging out with Arch!

Once they were settled inside Archie took a deep breath before letting his eyes meet Jug's.

"Do you want a drink?" Archie drawled awkwardly.

"Uh no thank you, I'm fine."

Archie sat down along with Jughead, clapping his hand together as a futile attempt to calm his raging nerves.

"Okay, I'm just gonna say it Jug. I have something to tell you and I know it's not in the best circumstances, but I want you to at least consider it. Promise me you'll at least consider it."

The look on Jughead's face would have been comical if Archie was not physically shaking.

"Okay... I promise." Jugheads mind automatically went to the worst possibility. Was Archie doing drugs? Did he Jughead to join in? Did he need money?

"Um... I can't believe I'm actually saying this..." Archie started. His eyes refused to meet Jughead's and his lips were set in a firm line. His shoulders were hunched over his large frame and his hands were clamped together in his lap. Archie frowned before finally continuing.

"I like you Jug. I, well I want to be with you. Like you're with Betty. Like I'm with Veronica. I want to... date you."

Jughead was about as surprised as you could get. His pale lips were open, mouth in the shape of an 'o'. He looked up to meet Archie's eyes, his own eyes soft and questioning. It was like he didn't believe Archie. Like he thought it was just some joke his friend was playing on him.

"Are you...sure?" What Jughead wanted to say was 'are you serious?' But he refrained.

Archie just gave a curt nod.

Jughead just looked at his feet for a few minutes and his eyes closed in thought.

"I...I can't do that to Betty. I'm sorry Arch. I really am."

Archie got up swiftly "I believe it's time for you to go."

"But Arch-"

"Now!"

Jughead's eyes watered but he blinked back the tears. He didn't bother to give a goodbye, leaving with a small wave of his hand.

Archie broke up with Veronica that night. She was heartbroken, but at this point he didn't care. It's not that he didn't care about her, he supposed, but he simply didn't care about their relationship. It was more of a chore than a relationship if he were honest.

He didn't here from Jughead for a week, he supposed Jug would avoid him. That was fine.

Archie cut himself off from just about everyone for that week, so when he heard a knock on his door he was simply surprised.

His first instinct was to ignore it, buy the steady rapping didn't stop.

When Archie opened the door to a crying Jughead, he was even more surprised.
