Since I partially heard the boys conversation regarding finding a quarterback I volunteered to help with a promise of raising the bar. That is their expectations if your wondering.
So here I am with my new friends after school trying out the audition for the post of a quarterback.
Not to brag or anything but I was the teams captain in my former school and I'm gonna prove how good a worth I am to them. I didn't just win a states metal and trophy for best player in history of Calliham high.
The school clearly needs me and my rare and unique talent to take them to greater heights.
There's just one thing obstructing my path to success which is Dawns' boobs. I am currently sitting on a long bench at the school's field tying my shoe lace when a shadow fell upon me.

'Hey handsome'. I raised my head to see a jaunty smile plastered on Dawns' face.

She ran a hand through my hair,'wanna wish you luck'.

Then she bends whispering seductively in my ears her boobs directly in my line of sight

'Although you won't need it,I can tell the spot will be yours. If you need me I'll be over there cheering you on'.
She directs with her pointy finger to a group of cheerleaders at the other end of the court, practicing their routine.
She slips her hand into my breast pocket and boldly kisses me on the LIPS!.
'Later handsome'. She purrs and walks away strutting her non existent hips to my distaste.
I sat dumbfound staring at her diminishing form. No doubt its her number lying in my pocket.

I shook my head sighed and palmed my face. This is going all wrong. The purpose of transferring to a new school is to start anew. A fresh start, beginning,to amend previous mistakes.
Horny girls included.
Its a big "Do Not Associate" sign.
I never asked for these kind of life.
I never wanted to be too handsome.
I never wanted to be the centre of fantasies to all the female population.
You never know who genuinely
has feelings for you.
All interested in a certain anatomy and fame.
Its tiring. I wish someone will truly be interested in me for who I am on the inside not what I am on the outside.

'wow she really got you bumped'. Came Dean's sad voice.

He sat beside me,staring ahead as I examined his features.

'She was once my girlfriend. Nice sweet caring until a new guy came into the picture. Apparently he's more handsome than me. Don't be fooled by her attention, she just wants what you can offer and then she moves to the next hot new topic'.

   'I'm talked about?'.

'Yes. The whole school is buzzing about the hot new student'. He quotes 'hot' in the air.

'Oh. About Dawn...I'm really sorry. She doesn't deserve someone as understanding and loving as you dude. I'm serious man, I've known you for three hours and I can tell your an open book and hopeless romantic'.

He snickers and I laugh when he made a weird face.

'Thanks Henry, alot. I never knew she's a sly bitch but that's a story for another day. The audition is about to begin,I came to get you but seriously dude don't fall for her charms'.
Dean became serious all of a sudden dusting his back jean as he stood.

I smile patting his back,'thanks for the heads up I'll make sure to remember it next time'.

'Next time?'. His brows furrow in confusion.

'I don't think Dawn's gonna let me down easily. She gave me her number'.

Obviously expecting a call. Psst as if. I unfold the paper and no doubt her number is scribbled neatly.

'That's fast. Um...are you gonna give her a call?'.  He nervously ask.

  'Absolutely not'.

I threw the paper away and smile as his tense shoulder visibly relaxes.

He shook his head,' I don't wanna waste any more of your time let's go'.

He pulls me to join the rest being addressed by the coach.

         ♥♥♥♥♥

'Dude you were spectacular. You were all pass, run, push, run and touchdown!!.  Coach was flabbergasted, his jaw hanging loosely, his eyes literally bulging out. Man...you should have seen his face'.
Dean gushed still amazed by my performance.
'Hold on a sec. You didn't tell us you knew anything about football. So how come'. Clyde ask suspiciously.

Suspense suspended in the air around us leaving me as the centre of attention to their questioning glare.
We were on our way home after coach named me the quarterback. Thank you very much.
And we're looking forward to celebrate but Clyde had to pop the question i've been trying to avoid.

   'Uhh...'

'I know guys'.  Sam breaks the silence with a knowing gaze.

He knows!
How come,I didn't say anything and I'm not that transparent to read. I know I'm meant to be honest with my new friends but I don't want them to know I'm talented with a lot of things. Well at least not now!
I don't wanna be betrayed again out of envy.
My heart increases its pace,my eyes about to pop out of its socket as I waited in bathed breathe for Sam's next word.

   'Dude...he's a quick learner guys'.

'Oh that's it'. Clyde nods in understanding others hum their response.

I relax my taut shoulder and breathed out. That was a close call. I nervously laugh but the boys didn't detect it.

   'Yeah,you're right,I'm a quick learner'.

  'You got a ride?'.

'None that I think of '.

'Great we will go ready the cars then pick you up'.

'Sounds like a plan'. I gave a crooked smile.

Sam left with the boys apart from Dean. Giving me the you are lying look which makes me uncomfortable.

I pulled a wry smile and turned away from him. That boy is reading me like an open book and I hate it.

'So...how did practice go?'.  He asked.

'It was exhilarating, thrilling'. I commented.

'Good you were quiet elegant and superflous. Let's cut to the chase Henry. You are hiding something. Spill'.

  Well that was fast.

'I uh...i---i don't know what your talking about'.

He rolls his eyes,' don't try to be evasive or vague'.

I protested. 'I'm not trying to be evasive or vague'.

Well I'm trying to be both but he doesn't need to know that.

Dean opens his mouth only to close it when we heard a loud shriek coming from the guys.

We quickly ran to where they stood and stared wide eyed at what's in front of us. I can't believe am a witness to these catastrophe.
