6-Lunch fiasco.

Friday lunch hour.

I mentally prepare myself for what am about to do. Its crazy but worth it. I am not sitting with the boys today and their confused faces confirms it.
I march to a secluded part far away from civilization to have lunch with  the loner Brie.
Brie is so enthralled in a thriller romance novel she didn't notice my arrival. She took the first bite of her spaghetti munching slowly then paused. Her eyes wide in realization before spitting out the spaghetti. Wiping her lips with her hand and drinking a lot of water.

'Argh...what the fudge?'.  She mumbles in disgust.

   'Sodden eh?'. I asked.

Her face whips to glare at the intruder. At the rate she spun her head am sure it might break.
Her eyes widen a fraction.

  'You?!'. She points.

'Yes,I me me'.

'What are you doing here?'. She enquired.

I shook my head, then deliberately took a bite of my apple.
'If you don't want a sarcastic answer then don't ask stupid questions'.

I threw her words right at her with a smug smile. The expression on her face is scary but not enough to make me run for my life.  I smile and blew a air kiss to her. Which made her more angry.

'You know. You can practically hear the students mutter for being served sodden spaghetti, yet again,in the cafeteria'.

'I don't get why boys don't understand the meaning of no. I wonder why getting into trouble is as easy as snapping your fingers'. She sighs rubbing her eyes completely disregarding my comment.

'For a girl you're quiet mean'. I point out.

'Well excuse you. Not all girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice. I'm made of sarcasm, wine and everything fine'.

I roll my eyes at her statement.

'Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find a brain back there'.

She picked her tray and stood up ready to leave.  I quickly strut my hand forward blocking her path.

'Woah woah wait...where do you think you're going'.

'I figured if I told you to get lost you won't so I'm doing the honors besides I spoke too much already'.  She shrugs.

'No why?'.

She points to a seat. I direct my gaze to see Dawn glaring at Brie at us and my hand holding Brie's capture.

'That's drama. You smell like drama and a headache, from the moment I saw you. I knew I was gonna spend the rest of my life avoiding you. So get the hell away from me'.

She jerks her hand but I manage to block her path with my body.

'Please Brie let's talk. Why do you hate my gut'. I scrunch my face in confusion. I really need to know.

'I don't hate you,I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence'.   She smirks.

   'That's hate'.

'I know'.

She moves to the side but I sidestep her again.

'I need your help'.

'Funny mister Donald asked the same thing. Well I can only please one person a day'.

I nod,'sure wh---'.

'Tomorrow doesn't look good either'.

I open my mouth but Brie beats me to it. I suck in a breath, already knowing what's about to come.

'You don't get it do you. You're annoying and stupid. You're pestering me a lot and I hate it. I've met some pricks in my time, but you my friend, are the freaking cactus. Leave me alone!'.

She moves past, dumping the spaghetti in the trash before making an exit.

By now the whole cafeteria centres their attention on me. I huff and hung my head low. It turned out worst than I expected. What possibly went wrong. I made sure to be straightforward, sarcastically witty and a little bit nice.

   'Bro'.

I close my eyes, running my hands through my hair.

'Bro c'mon let's go'. Dean pulls my arm.

'Did you---'.

'I saw everything broself. Let go'. Dean taps my shoulder comfortingly.

I followed Dean to our designated table to find Brie marching back to her table, picked up her novel then marched off.

'There's nothing to see here people, back to lunch'. Luca commands.

Everyone starts mumbling about the latest hot topic.
Urgh. I'm such a mess.
But I won't give up.
I totally won't. Guess I have to change my game and strategize more.
I want to know who Brie is behind her sarcasm.
And these,is a new challenge.
