It was every other Saturday so receiving texts was a normal thing. I'm the captain of the baseball team at Earl Shore High School. I was lying in my room just on my phone scrolling through Instagram when I noticed one text that perked my attention. I opened it. It was Alissa Jovel. She's this girl that does my homework for me when I don't feel like it. I opened it because I wanted to see how that science essay was going. She sent me a picture of the essay. "When can I get the paper?" I texted. "After History." She responded. No problem. History is 2nd period so if science is 4th, I shouldn't have a problem. My girlfriend Maria texted. "There's a party at 8. Be there around 8:15." It read. "Cool" I replied. She replied with a bunch of love emoji's. We are defiantly going to have fun tonight. "Where?" I asked. "Mad's house" She texted. There's nothing to really do until then so I guess I'll just play on my PS4 until then. 7:00 arrives. 7:15. 7:55. CRAP! I'm late. No need to rush. It doesn't take long to perfect perfection. I glanced in the mirror and combed my hair with my fingers.
When I got to the party it was 8:20. Five minutes late. Fashionably late. That's my excuse. I walked in, grabbed a red cup and went to the deck. Austin was there. He's my favorite kid on the team. "What's up man!" He shouted. We shook hands and he walked off. I saw Maria talking to another girl. She wasn't that bad. She had great curves and beautiful bouncy curls. That wasn't the only thing bouncy. When Maria left to her other friends I swooped in. I had to have this girl. Before I could get a word out I felt a sharp pang in my chest. I fell to the floor. Spilling my drink. Everything was blurry and hazy. I blacked out. I awoke in my room. My phone next to me. Unread texts scattered the screen.
One of those texts got my attention. Alissa Jovel. I check the time. It wasn't 8:20. It was 3:27. What just happened? A dream? Alissa sent a picture of my essay I asked her to do. It was the same picture I saw in my dream. That can't be a coincidence. Can it? Maria texted. The party is at 8. I read it. She texted information about the party. I cannot believe it. That's not a coincidence anymore. I didn't play on my PS4 and I made it on time. When I walked in Maria kissed me. "Good job babe." She appraised. "Thanks." I shouted. She smiled and ran off. The girl. It was the same girl. Maria was talking to the girl with the nice curves and curls. When I thought of how nice she looked I felt that sharp pang. My visions went white. Every thing was slow. I couldn't hear right.
I woke up in my room. I looked at my clock. 3:27. This can't be happening. This isn't a coincidence anymore. My phone buzzed. Alissa. The same picture. Maria. The same information. This isn't real. This is all just a dream, right? How is this possible. I got ready extra early and texted some friends. I did my routine totally different. This can't happen again. I went to the party. Right when I walked in I saw her. It was the same girl. I tried to turn around but I couldn't. I couldn't move unless I lusted for her. When I did I felt the sharp pang again. This isn't real. My vision. Blurry. Hearing. Gone. I blacked out again. I woke abruptly. I was sweating. My phone buzzed. It was Alissa. She texted the picture. The clock read 3:27. I was stuck in a loop.
