My name is York Kartman and I am envious.

I had to wake up early like any other day. The life of a New York surgical intern is restless. When I walked in the doors it was already busy. Surgeons, nurses, and interns scrambled the floor. I looked for Joseph Hernandez. I couldn't find him. I noticed a familiar face. It was Juan Hernandez. A fellow intern and Joseph's twin brother. Their father was a famous orthopedic surgeon. I grabbed his arm and pulled him aside. "What's going on?" I asked. "Major collision on the interstate." He replied. He ran off. My supervisor threw a chart at me. "Check those patients. Their your responsibility." He shouted before he ran off. How big was this collision? I ran off to do my job. It was defiantly going to be a busy day. After assisting the surgeons and checking on my patients I just had to fill out a lot paperwork. Juan and Joseph were busy preforming surgeries. They got all the procedure. Just because their father was some big shot doctor. I may not have received the same opportunities they have but I deserve as much respect they get.

A nurse slid her clipboard in front of me and rested her head on the raised part of the desk. It was Emily Wincefield. "How are those papers looking?" She teased. She was the only nurse I liked. "This is stupid." I complained. She tilted her head. Some strands of her golden dusted hair fell near her eyes. She is truly gorgeous. If she wasn't married I would've asked her out myself. "How so?" She asked. "Hernandez's are getting all the good stuff and I'm sitting here with coffee stained paper to copy in the system." I groaned. She giggled. Another nurse called her name. "oops, I got to go. Hope the day is good to you!" She called out before she grabbed her things and ran towards the calling nurse. I sighed. A restless day. A restless job.

I heard shouting. I glanced over my desk to see what was happening. A new patient came in the ER. It happens so I sat back down and continued the work. Doctors kept shouting then I heard a familiar name. Darcy Lannon. I sat up and ran over there. So many thoughts rushed my head. It can't be her. Why? When? Then I saw her. My sister. Laying in that stretcher. This can't be! She has her whole life ahead of her. She's only 27. She's married. She has a baby! My heart shattered. "Oh my god." I whispered. No one heard me. No one saw me. I was a ghost. In that moment. Someone pulled a slip of paper out of her pocket. "This was there." A man announced. It had a phone number. Mine. The words "Surprise him" were written at the top. They called the number. My phone rang. They all turned and looked. That's when they realized what was happening. My sister and I look just alike. If we were born the same gender we would've been identical twins. Since we have our male and female differences my face is just a bit more carved. I stared at her face. Her face was mine. Her eyes closed. She looked pale. Too pale. The monitor started to emit the tone. That tone. The tone of death. She was flat lining. I ran over and grabbed paddles and shocked her. "Charge to 100." I yelled. Shock. Nothing. "Charge 200." I yelled. Shock. Nothing. "300!" I shouted. Shock. A steady beat. I sighed with relief.

"She needs surgery." Doctor Barren told me. I brushed some hair away from her face. "Okay." I responded. "I'll do it." I huffed. Some of the doctors laughed and sneered. "What?" I asked. "I resuscitated her! She is MY sister!" I argued. "You don't qualify. Joseph will assist in the operation." Doctor Barren informed. I was speechless. "This is my sister" I reminded. Emily placed her hand on my shoulder. Like that I lost her. My own sister. They wheeled her away. I could feel my skin warm. I glanced down. Green. My hand was turning green! So was my arm. My ankle. I was turning green. My mouth started to foam. I blacked out.

I woke up at my desk. Shouting. The same shouting as before. How did this happen? I looked over it was my sister. I charged the machine to 300 and shocked her when she flat lined. Just like before. A steady beat. "I want in on her surgery!" I declared. Doctors snickered and sneered. Just as before. They told me the same crap as before. I tried to explain that this woman is my sister. They didn't care. The case was assigned to Joseph Hernandez. I was turning green again. My mouth foamed. I blacked out. I was stuck in a loop.
