Jugheads POV

I hang some streamers from Betty's staircase as she sets up the living room and her mother cooks. Betts is having a New years Party and is inviting, Me, Archie, veronica, and kevin. Betty and I havent said our I love you's yet and I plan on telling her tonight.

I'm so excited. Note the sarcasm. Im not much of a partier.

"Jug! It looks wonderful in here! Thank you so much." Betty smiles brightly kissing my cheek.

As I said, I'm not much of a partier. But she asks and I would literally do anything for this girl.

"No problem." I smile kissing her.

Time skip time party

"Thanks for coming guys! It means a lot." Betty smiles at the people in front of her.

Suddenly the music kicks on and the lights go out leaving only the cheap but satisfying disco ball on.

Archie and Veronica chase each other around the house with whipped cream, while Kevin hangs out with me and Betty.

I hour until midnight. Help.

Veronica and Archie join us later and we are all cozied up on the couch watching legally blonde. Which the girls and Kevin chose. I have my arm wrapped around Betty's shoulder while veronicas tongue is down Archie's throat.

"Hey guys! Change the channel to the ball drop channel! 1 Minute!" Kevin shouts. We all stand up and the channel is turned.

The countdown.

"Hey Betts." I say.

"Yeah?" She answers.

"I have to tell you something..." I say.

"Yeah, go ahead you can tell me anything." She answers. Its so hard to hear with everyone yelling.

"I...."

"You what?" She asks growing confused.

"I um..." Im getting nervous.

"Jug what?" She asks.

"I love you." I finally say.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!" Everyone shouts from around the room. Archie and Veronica kiss, Kevin dances around, and Betty kisses me passionately.

She pulls away and smiles brighter than possible.

"I love you too Jughead." I smile widely and kiss her again longer this time. We hug as Alice comes over and pushes me onto the couch with a smirk on her face. Betty laughs as do I.

Happy new year to me.
