I wake up and stare at the ceiling. Did I seriously agree to go to the Upland? Seriously? I head down to Erin's room to get my Upland clothes.

"Hi, voice still gone?" she asks. I shake my head 'no'.

I walk over to her bed and look at the clothes she laid out for me. The jeans look skinny. Skinny jeans. And there's a what she calls a black, white, and blue flannel shirt. There's also black ballet flats.

I put it on and I must say after looking in the mirror, I look super awesome. I put my hair in a side ponytail after Erin shows me how to do one. You would think she was born in the Upland.

"Here, Nicole. These are really cute. They're called nerd glasses. Put em' on," Erin says, giving me the so-called nerd glasses. They're blue. I put them on. That ties the whole outfit together. I look super-cute. We go to give Nate his Upland clothes, and when he sees me he asks,"Whoa, Nicole. Wait, is that you?" I answer him by taking off the glasses. Jeez, glasses must really change a person.

"Oh, wow." he says. I roll my eyes.

"Here's your clothes, Nate." Erin says, handing him his clothes. He takes one look at them and says,"I hope I don't look as different as Nikki here."

He comes out and looks totally awesome. Jeans (not skinny), a black and white flannel shirt, what Erin calls sneakers, and what Erin calls aviator sunglasses. We look so different. Erin has skinny jeans and a graphic t-shirt, as she calls it.

"OK, even if someone looks dangerous, you can't hurt them, you'll get taken to a place called jail. It's like a dungeon. So, if someone triees to hurt you, run to a store. K?" Erin says. We nod our heads.
