Chapter 1: Barry's Problem

Barry flew fast away from Vanessa, little tears flying down and then off of his face from the push of the wind. "Barry! Wait! I'm Sorry!" Vanessa cried after him. Barry had just confessed his love to his crush Vanessa, not caring about the difference that he was a bee, and she was human. He had been rejected, of course, crushing all of his little bee dreams in the process. Ignoring her apology and concern, he just kept flying as fast as his little wings could take him. Eventually, he was out of her sight, and could no longer hear her pleads. He kept flying until he grew tired. Then he sat down on the branch of a nearby tree, and let his tears flow more. "W-Why...? What did I do w-wrong...?" Barry quietly said. He just sat for a moment, and thought of all the good times he had with Vanessa, and how he probably couldn't approach her again. How could he possibly stand to see her, when she was the one he had given all of his love to, just for it to be rejected like it meant nothing? He was beginning to consider the worst options... But then he remembered Shrek, and how he had loved Fiona, but didn't get to be with her until he intervened in the wedding, where he found he was meant to be with her after all. An idea popped into Barry's head. Maybe he could go ask Shrek? Who knows, maybe Shrek could help him find out how to get Vanessa, or at least help him cope with the pain of rejection. So he flew off once more, on the way to Shrek's swamp...
