A Fathers' Love
Unlike some dads, you were never around.
We never spoke.
You tried once to reach out to me.
But I was too hurt.
Too broken, too shattered, too naive.
Too naive to believe that you'd want to see me.
Cause I was told you never wanted me.
Too young to see
To see what could be.
But I never understood why
Why weren't you around?
Why didn't we speak?
Why weren't you there for me?
Why couldn't you protect me?
I guess it's okay now.
I mean im already 17.
There isn't much that i haven't seen.
I just wish I could understand..
Why you didn't want me?
