Welcome to my second proper Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction! Don't forget to check out my others. Hopefully you enjoy xx

The wind was cold as we sat on top of the Eiffel Tower, taking a short break from patrolling. The lights bellow showing that most Paris was heading off to sleep.

"Isn't it purrrr-ety My Lady? Almost as pretty as you." Chat Noir winked at me, taking the silent moment to use one of his dreadful puns. He was clearly kidding around with me but it still sparked a question in my mind.

"Chat, how do you find it so easy?" I asked, looking at him as he tilted his head in confusion. "I mean, how do you find it so easy to say things like that to me. Even if I was joking, I couldn't do it. I can't even say a sentence right, let alone a cheesy pickup line and a compliment."

"Why would you need to say things like that? You see, its part of my vocabulary My lady but I can't imagine you ever talking like that." He chuckled as he turned to face me, expecting an explanation.

"Well I don't mean exactly what you say, I just mean, how do you talk with such confidence when complimenting someone. I've tried many times to compliment this guy in my class but I can't even make up a full sentence without stammering and stuttering. It's horrible!"

"Who's this guy you speak of. Do I have competition now?" I shook my head as Chat laughed.

"Chat stop joking around. I guess, yes I do like him a little bit, maybe a lot, but it would never work. I'm not as smooth and confident as you." I laughed it off but Chat sighed with disappointment. He almost looked upset until he glanced up at me with a smile.

"Just pretend your talking to me when your talking to him. I'm sure he could never be as amazingly handsome as me but I've never ever heard you stutter when talking to me so I guess it would work. I mean, if you just pretend you have confidence, sometimes you will seem more confident than you are."

"Thankyou Chat. For once your being helpful." I teased him, resulting in a soft punch on the shoulder.

"Don't you start with that. I can easily squish you like a tiny little bug!"

"Well I'd like to see you try! Race you to the library kitty!"

I layed down on my nicely made bed and my heart rate began to decrease. It was beating so fast after that race as obviously I had won. 'Maybe next time Chat Noir' I thought and giggled to myself. Of course not!

I had just recovered from the fast pace race when I heard someone land on my roof. "What the.." I breathed out in confusion. I assumed it was a bird flying into my small window, as that was quite common in this part of town, and I climbed up onto the roof to have a look.

"I was hoping you'd be here, princess!" I almost screamed when I heard his voice. It scared me so much that I tripped over the chair and went flying towards the barricade. "Woh slow down Mari!" I laughed as he caught me in his arms. I glanced up at him in shock as he held me close to him, stabilising me. "Seems that you have fallen for me." He winked.

I pushed him off me and glared at him. I tried not to be too loud as I began to yell at him under my breath. "Chat what the hell are you doing here?!"

"Woh calm down princess. I just though we could talk. You've always been the one I could talk to and I saw your lights on on the way home. Have time to talk?"

"Firstly, stop calling me that. Secondly, yes I'd love to talk." I sighed as I giggled at Chat Noir. We made our way inside and sat down on my chair. He was nice to talk to when he wasn't shooting puns and pickup lines at me, even if he had to call me by that discussing name! "So why this time? And why me?"

"Well, your the only person who doesn't freak out around me. And your also the only person that I've actually properly talked to as Chat Noir, excluding Ladybug of course." I smiled at him and he smiled back as we sat there in comfortable silence. "There isn't anything big I wanted to talk about really. Just stuff on my mind I guess."

"Me to!" I sighed, thinking about Adrien and how everyone keeps telling me just to talk to him. Everyone's trying to push me to get some courage to ask him out or just even have a normal conversation with him but I can tell you right now, that will never happen!

"Ladybug told me she liked someone else." Chat finally spat out. "She said she wants to talk to this boy at school, someone she really likes." He seemed genuinely upset by me, well ladybug, having feelings for someone else. I didn't know that's how he really felt.

"You really care about her don't you?" I asked, moving closer. "If it makes you feel any better, I can't even form a full sentence around the guy I like." I smiled at him and he tried to fake one back but I could tell he was upset.

"For so long I've wanted to know who she really is, so I could see who the girl I love really truely was. I've tried giving her flowers, I've even tried to sneak a kiss, but I don't think she really knows how I feel."

"Chat I'm sorry." I breathed out. I hadn't quite realised what I had said until he looked at me strangely. "I mean I'm sorry for what has happened. If you ever want to talk about it I'm here. Your welcome to come back when you need." I smiled at Chat and he brought me in for a hug. I jumped in surprise but finally put my arms around him to join into the embrace.

"Look how purrr-fect we fit together purrr-incess!" I just about pushed him off me as he began with the puns again. I knew he couldn't stay serious for much longer.
