After dinner last night, I immediately went to bed. Although, Solas had to walk me there since my leg was busted up. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep. That night I dreamed of fire and screams. I woke up with a jerk and cold sweat rolled down my cheeks as I tried to regain my composure. I looked outside the window where the moon shined bright in the sky and the stars twinkled, like they were dancing for the world to see. I slowly wipe the sweat off my face and slide my feet off the edge of the bed. Slowly lifting myself up with the support of a bedpost. I see a light colored robe on a chair sitting at the end of the bed.
Confused, I walked over to see a slip of paper placed on the seat of the chair. It read

'For you ,' ~C.

I was confused seeing as this wasn't here when I was asleep and I didn't recall Solas putting it here. What confused me the most was the only thing to go by who put it there was the letter C. I decided to think about it later and slid the robe on. It was silky, smelled of the roses, and fit my petite frame well. I turned back to the window and walked onto the balcony to gaze at the stars above.
My (hair length) (hair color) hair blew in the wind and I took a deep breath in. Smells of pine trees and rain. Maybe a storm is coming. I opened my eyes and looked across the street at the dark windows of the tavern. The one straight across from me had a silhouette of a person in it, but I couldn't figure out who it was. A shiver went down my spine and I turned to go back into my room, but in my head I heard a soft voice say,

'Don't go.' I recognized this voice.

I turned back around and and said aloud, "H-hello."

The silhouette in the window raised it's hand and waved. 'Hello, is there something wrong? You woke up suddenly and it's 2 in the morning,' the voice in my head spoke sweetly and I thought it was odd that they knew about my waking.

'I'm fine, just nightmares. Who are you? I recognize your voice, but can't pin point it,' I thought.

The silhouette disappeared and the voice came from behind me, " Sorry if I frightened you, I didn't mean to. I see you're wearing my present," the voice said.

I turned to face.. Cole, his face hid by his large brimmed hat, even though there was light all around the room from the moon behind me.

"Oh," I glanced down at the robe, " Yes, it's quite nice. Thank you, but how did you know my favorite color was (your favorite color)?"

"Just a guess," he said with a smile lifting his head to look at me.

His face lit up with the white light of the moon and, even though his golden bangs got in the way, I could still see his bright sky blue eyes looking into mine. I blushed, and looked towards the floor. He quickly did the same.

"I don't know how I'm going to get to sleep with my head, like this," I whispered.

There was a moment of silence that draped over the room, thick wool blanket. An owl hoo-ed in the distance. I finally mustered up the courage to speak,

"W-would you come lay next to me? It might help me sleep knowing someone else was there to protect me." He looked up shyly and nodded his head.

I smiled sweetly at him and he walked over to the side of the bed and climbed up. I followed him and we both layed down and I snuggled underneath his arm. He took his hat off and layed it on the bed post closest to him. I layed my head on his chest and closed my eyes. I listened to his breathing. Deep and I could feel it on my face, strangely cold. Like an icey wind blew into the room and brushed my cheek.
As I listened to his breathing I was a little startled when I heard no heart inside beating. Mine was beating fast enough for the both of us. He spoke softly next to my ear,

" I'm not alive, if that's why you're wondering why I have no heart beat. I am a spirit. So, I don't have a heart. I'm sorry if that bothers you."

"Oh, no, I don't mind. I'm just happy to have someone so willing to lay next to me."

And with that the silence returned. However, it wasn't an awkward silence, more of a peaceful one. I closed my eyes and  drifted off to sleep listening to the deep breaths of Cole and the soft wind blowing though the trees outside.

*Cole's veiw*
"Oh, no, I don't mind. I'm just happy to have someone so willing to lay next to me," (Y/N) said with a warm tone.

She slowly closed her eyes and I could feel her breathing slow. I looked down and saw that some hair had gotten onto her face and moved it behind her ear. Her skin is so warm. I feel such a strong connection to her that is strange. I have never felt such, warmth towards another person. She is truly special. I would protect her to the end.
