As humans we live in a world where it is possible nothing we believe in is true. So why do we have such confidence in things that can't be proven true? I believe that we do so because we want to believe in something bigger than ourselves. People seek something that gives them purpose in life. Obviously the main category within this is religion. Is it right to discriminate against others just because they believe something different than what you believe in? Often religion is a dividing factor in modern society. What we fail to see is that beneath all of our beliefs and differences we are human. A Christian and a Muslim underneath are the same. A belief that can't even be proven true are what separates our human race. So why are we confident in things we can't believe? I think some people have a hard living without the idea that we are here for a purpose. These beliefs that we can't prove, people base their whole life around them, yet every single one is different and people still believe that they are right. As much as we don't like accepting the fact that everybody is right, in the end we all are.
